Dear Members, Pranams! jaigurudevdatta! In continuation to the series of Shree Datta Yogarahasyam, now we are focussing on the different chakras of a human body. The concept was directly given by Lord Dattatreya to Sankriti and one can seen the details from JABALADARSHOPANISHAD. 1.Muladhar: in perineum sacrococcygeal nerve plexus 2.Svadhisthana: four fingers above lumbosacral

nerve plexus 3.Manipur: opposite the umbilicus lumbar plexus 4.Anahata: over the 6th thorasic spine cardiac plexus 5.Vishudha: opposite the larynx laryngeal plexus 6.Ajna: opposite glabella, cerebellum and its lobes 7.Sahasrara: between third ventricle & pituitary. Part 4 Oh Sankriti! The human body measures the width of its 96 fingers and in its center is located the fire point, bright like melted gold. It has a triangular shape. Two fingers above the anus and two fingers below the genitals is the central place of human body that is called Muladhar. Muladhar (Root) Chakra : It is located at the base of the spine and it is a foundation stone in our body. Here you have to be totally receptive - like a small innocent child. The Kundalini Energy is feminine power – always be aware of the divine power in all women and must give due respect to women. Weakness in Muladhar chakra invites disease like Cancer, Piles, Aids, Sex related problems By remaining in contact with Earth element one can strengthen Muladhar Chakra. Muladhar chakra Nine fingers above this place (Muladhar) is the

root place ( Kanda Sthal) that measures four fingers in length and four fingers in width and has the shape of an egg of hen and is covered by the skin etc. In the middle of that root place is located the navel center and in the middle of this center is located the Sushumna Nadi (the main psychic nerve). This has been narrated by the yogis. Around that root (Sushumna Nadi) is the center of 72,000 psychic nerves but only fourteen of them are the important ones. They are: Sushumna, Pingala, Ida, Saraswati, Varuna, Pusha, Yashasvini, Hastijihva, Alambusa, Kuhu, Vishvodara, Payasvini, Shankhini, and Gandhari. Among these fourteen Nadis, the more important are the three, namely, Sushumna Nadi The Central Channel or Sushumna Nadi The central channel or Sushumna Nadi corresponds to the central nervous system. This is the path that the Kundalini will take when ascending from the Sacrum bone to the last chakra on top of the head by which a human being can attain Self-Realization or Yoga. The Central Channel or SUSHUMNA NADI in Sanskrit represents the perfect balance between the left and right channel, the Yin and Yang. This is the Tao, the balance between emotions and mental activity, desires and action that enables the spiritual evolution of human beings. Pingala Nadi The Right channel or Pingala Nadi The Right channel or Pingala Nadi represents the Yang Energy within us. It handles all the power of action and mental activity within us. The Yang or Right side is associated with the

Day, the Sun, Fire, the Future, brightness, mental and physical activity, rationality, discipline, Ego, masculine qualities….Main Quality: A right channel, which is working properly, gives us the power of enlightened actions and thoughts. It makes us act, understand, and think rightly and very efficiently, without ego and false pride. and Ida Nadi The Left channel or Ida Nadi The left channel or Ida Nadi represents the Yin Energy within us. It handles all the power of desires and emotions within us. The Yin or Left side is associated with the Night, the Moon, Water, Darkness, the past, emotions, sensitivity, intuition, softness, gentleness, Supergo, feminine qualities….Main Quality: A left channel, which is working properly, gives us the Pure Desire of spiritual evolution. It makes us a spiritual seeker; it enlightens our emotions and desires. It gives the power of Pure Love, Joy, and Compassion. Location on the body: The left Sympathetic Nervous system, the left side of the body. Right temple on the forehead (Superego) The most

important among them is Sushumna that is also known as Brahma Nadi. At the center of the back is the cluster of bones known as spine and through it, the Sushumna Nadi passes to reach the brain. Two fingers below the navel root is the location of Kundalini, the symbol of eight elements of nature - earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, intellect and ego. It (Kundalini) protects the navel root from the elements of nature and covers the face of brain center (Brahma Randhra) by its mouth.Location of Ida and Pingala Nadis is to the left and right of the Sushumna Nadi. Saraswati and Kuhu Nadis are located on the two sides of Sushumna. On the back of Sushumna is located Gandhari and on the front is located Hastijivha. On the back of Pingala is located Pusha and on the front is located Yashasvini. In the middle of Kuhu and Hastijivha is located Vishvodara. Between the Yashasvini and Kuhu is located Varuna while Yashasvini is located in the middle of Pusha and

Saraswati. Shankhini Nadi is located in the middle of Gandhari and Saraswati while Alambusa is spread from the middle of the navel center to anus. Another name of Sushumna is Raka and in front of it is Kuhu Nadi that is spread above and below and reaches up to the right nostril. Ida reaches up to the left nostril. Yashasvini is spread up to the toe of left foot. Pusha passes the backside of Pingala and reaches the left eye and Payasvini reaches the right ear. Saraswati Nadi is spread above up to the tongue. Hastijivha is spread up to the toe of left foot. Shankhini is spread up to the left ear and Gandhari Nadi is spread up to the left eye. According to the wise people, Vishvodara is located in the middle of the navel center.Praan, Apaan, Vyaan, Saman, Udaan,

Naag, Kurma, Krakar, Devadatta, and Dhananjaya are the ten vital airs (Vaayus) and they flow in all the Nadis. Among these ten vital airs, the first five are important and among them Praan Vaayu and Apana Vaayu are the most important.Prana Vaayu is always located in the nose, mouth, navel center and heart. Apaan Vaayu is located in anus, genitals, thighs, knees, stomach, waist, navel area and legs. Vyaan Vaayu is located in both ears, both eyes, both shoulders, both heels, places of Praan Vaayu and throat. Udaan Vaayu is located in both hands and feet. Saman Vaayu is located and spread in the entire body.Naag Vaayu and other four Vaayus are located in the skin and the bones. Breathing in, breathing out and coughing are regulated by the Praan Vaayu. Excretions of urine and stool etc. are regulated by Apaan Vaayu. Saman Vaayu maintains the uniform position in the entire body.Udaan Vaayu goes upwards. Scholars of Vedanta believe that Vyaan Vaayu is responsible

for the sound. The function of burping and vomiting etc. is performed by Naag Vaayu. Manifestation of beauty in the entire body is the function of Dhananjaya Vaayu. The opening and closing of the eyes is regulated by Kurma Vaayu. Krakar Vaayu is responsible for hunger and thirst as well as for the functions of sleep and laziness. The guiding deity of Sushumna Nadi is Shiva, the deity of Ida Nadi is Vishnu and the deity of Pingala Nadi is Brahmaa. The deity of Saraswati Nadi is Viraat; the deity of Pusha Nadi is Aditya; the deity of Varuna is Vaayu; and the deity of Hastijivha is Varuna. Lord Bhaskar (sun) is the deity of Yashasvini Nadi; Varuna is the deity of Alambusa Nadi; Kshudha Devi is the deity of Kuhu Nadi; Chandrama (moon) is the deity of Shankhini Nadi; the deity of Payasvini Nadi is Prajapati; and Agni Deva (god of fire) is the deity of Vishvodara Nadi.Oh Sankriti! the moon flows through Ida Nadi and the sun flows through Pingala Nadi. The flow of vital

energy of sun from Pingala Nadi to Ida Nadi is called Uttarayan (northwards flow) and the flow of vital energy of moon from Ida Nadi to Pingala Nadi is called Dakshirayan (southwards flow). When the vital energy flows in union between Ida and Pingala Nadis, it is said that there is the moonless night (Amavasya) in the body. When the vital energy enters the Muladhar Chakra, sages consider it the appearance of the initial universe (Aditya Vishva) Yoga. When the vital energy enters the Sahasraar Chakra, that is considered the appearance of the last universe (Antim Vishva) Yoga. All inhaling and exhaling is considered to be the monthly Sankranti (when the sun passes from one sign of the zodiac to the next). When the vital energy comes close to the Kundalini through Ida Nadi, that is called the lunar eclipse time and when the vital energy comes close to Kundalini through Pingala Nadi, that is called the solar eclipse time. etc. in the middle of the nose and the two eyebrows. For purification of the interior of ignorant people, the water flowing from the feet of wise people is sufficient. The cosmic spirit is present inside this body in the form of Lord Shiva (Lord of consciousness). Not recognizing this Lord of consciousness, a fool searches God in pilgrimage places, charity, Japa, Yagya, wood and stone. Awind (the image at the top of the page). Vayu is associated with the breath and life-energy of pranayama. AVADHOOTHA CHINTHANA SHREE GURUDEVADATTA!!! Subrahmanyam.Bharathuladatta_gururayasmarthrugaami-dattavaibhavam
