Guest guest
Dear Prasad Sir & Other Brothers, I remember you & Swamy Sir gave a mail earlier in group regarding the Datta Temple at Datta Pahad near SeethraamBagh. I thought of visiting the Temple Tomorrow on Saturday (as it is holiday for me) along with my mavayya for the first time. Are there any details i need to know....like 1) Timings of the Temple 2) Best Time to Visit the Temple ( Is it very rush at any particular times ??? ) 3) Is Temple Hill really very High ( I have been slightly injured on my ankle ) 4) Is there any kind of special Pooja we can conduct for Datta Swami Preethi.... 5) Is the Temple quiet & secluded. I want to do Manasika Japam of Dattatreya Vajra Kavacham in the Temple Premises. Is this OK OR anyone will object to this... 6) What are the Flowers which are liked by Datta Prabhu....What samagri i should take to the Temple My ammama is from near by Mallepally, she said she used to visit the temple in her childhood to play with friends, she says then a Tiger would regularly take shelter on Datta Pahad & leopard at a well near pheelkhana.......but that was very very very long time ago... Thanks in advance... Your Brother, - Sai.
Guest guest
Dear Prasad Sir & Other members, Today i went to the Datta Pahad temple, i reached there at 8 AM. It was very quiet & no one else was there, i had stop more than once to catch the breath while climbing the hillock. In the temple only one Pujari was there he was decorating the Lord. After decoration he did manasika pooja reading some pages in Hindi Script for 5 Mins. As you said there are no eloborate poojas done here. There is also a small hanuman temple there.....Temple timings displayed there are 8-11 AM & 4-7 PM, On thursdays 9AM-7PM....Except for us only 2 boys came for darshanam. As for as doing manasika japam in the temple OR around premises.....i think it should not be possible as there are toooooo many monkeys & dogs around, eagerly seeing us.....(they did not irritate us though by Lord`s Grace) they would very well be a disturbance...(because our mind would be on Monkeys as they play around u)..... Lords Moola murthi is very beautiful & serene with Minimum decorations...... My ammamma swears by the Power of this Temple, she says it is a very very old temple prior to Nizams rule, She herself was born in Nizams Rule at Mallepally. On the Hillock there are lot of rocks, loopholes & lairs where tigers/leopards (as she said earlier) could have easily taken shelter, but now just dogs with small puppies reside there.... & there were lot of eagles circling around the Hillock... I would say going there up after 6 PM would be troublesome ofcourse with Monkeys & Dogs....but u can also expect some reptile guests also crosssing your way..... May be once in a while visit to this Temple would be good for me.... Actually i was looking for a Datta Temple nearby (from secunderbad) for my weekly visits & sadhana. I think Datta Pahad temple would be good choice for people around Nampally/Mehndipatnam with a Vehicle. Next i would try to Visit Koti Hanuman Tekdi Temple.....i would love to do weekly visits/sadhana/Pooja at Sainatha Temples but these days lot of crowds are there..... Until our groups dream (ShreeRaam Annaya`s dream) of RaajaRaajeshwari Maatha & Lord Datta Temple materializes, i think Lord would show me a Quiet & Serene Temple of HIS....for weekly darshanams... The temple is a very serene place if you go early before 9am.Afterwards the crowds catch up & make it noisy. In the temple which is very small, there are NO specific poojas performed when I went there last year. The priest-if I can call him one,was very unimpressive in that he did not utter a single mantra to bless us & was holding a beedi/cigarette in his hand when I went there & was sipping some tea while I was praying in the sanctum sanctorum.I have seen this happening in many temples & they usually sit & chat with others distracting the concentration of the devotees. The temple was being renovated then.May be he was a stand by priest,I do NOT know. The hillock gives you an excellent aerial view of Tank Bund & Necklace Road etc.Just visit it once & then may be when you decide to go there next time you could plan more systematically & perform pooja/do japam etc. Please give me a feedback after your visit so that I too can learn from your experiences. -----Fight back spam!
