DARSHAN OF SRI SIDDHENDRA YOGI BY SANKARA BHATT On his journey to Kuruwapur,Sankar Bhatt visited several shrines reciting Sripada Srivallabha's holy name.He reached Kadambavanam in pandyadesam when he started feeling light headed & weightless. He had darshan of a famous Shivaling in a shiva temple when he felt heaviness in his

legs.He rested for a while in that temple & then continued his journey. He came across an ashram on the way. It was Siddhendra Yogi's ashram. He sought the yogi's darshan when he was blessed by the yogi with the words "May you gain darshan of SRIPADA SRIVALLABHA". He felt absolutely light headed & weightless at this experience. He was then told that the shivaling in the shiva temple was consecrated by DEVENDRA to atone for the sin of killing a rakshasa in meditation. That shivaling was a "swayabhulingam"-it erupted out of the earth by itself & had miraculous powers. It was considered & believed that only the most devout & the most blessed could have a darshan of that shivaling, .Datta bhaktas guided by LORD DATTA,could effortlessly access the shivaling for darshan. Siddhendra yogi asked Sankar Bhatt to go back to the shiva temple & when he went back, he could not see the same temple. Instead he saw a beautiful temple of SRI MEENAKSHI &

SUNDARESWARA and he sought darshan of both the presiding deities and returned to Siddhendra Yogi's ashram. Then Siddhendra Yogi explained to Sankara Bhatt that the shiva ling was consecrated by Devendra & the idol of Sundareswara were both one & the same and that he was taken back in time to that yuga or eon when Devendra had consecrated that shivaling & then brought back in time to the present yuga or eon when the present Sundareswara exists-all by the grace of Lord Datta. Nothing is impossible for LORD DATTA. He can take you back into the past & enact it before you as though it is the present & can play the present as fast forward as though it is future. He thereby conveys to the devotee convincingly that he rules the PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE. SRIPADA SRIVALLABHA embodied himself as a human being and was preaching GURU TATVAM to all in Pithapuram. Unfiortunately learned denizens of Pithapuram could not recognize the GURU in him. But illiterate & simple fisher folk in Kurwapur gained Brahmagnan. To gain SRIPADA SRIVALLABHA's grace, one has to annihilate his ego & decimate his pride and feel oneself as nothing & nobody and then surrender at HIS feet. Only then can one gain his grace and blessings. Every object in this universe emits signals. One discriminates these as good or bad & consequently good or bad thoughts arise in one's mind. Because of one's good

thoughts, association with good people, performing good deeds, visiting holy shrines & eagerness to purify oneself result. Only when the good in us completely wipes out the bad in us does true bhakti for LORD DATTA develop in us. He develops the GOOD in us and expects us to wipe out the BAD in us. It is solely due to HIS infinite love for his bhaktas that he tests you time & again to decimate your pride & egoism and then he draws you to HIM like a mother draws her child to her bossom. Sankara Bhatt continued his onward journey to Kurwapur despite facing several difficulties & trying circumstances on the way. He had to travel long distances without food & water as he would not partake food served by nonbrahmins. When fruits & honey were served by tribals, and he was about to eat them, he was pecked by crows and the food was snatched away. When he started running, he was bitten by snakes. He finally rested under an audumbar tree with bleeding wounds all over his body until her was rescued by some washermen & taken to their village on a donkey back. He was then taken to a tribal doctor who administered some potion to him & dressed his wounds with peepal tree leaves. After some hours, he regained his normal self when he heard the tribal doctor reciting “DIGAMBARA DIGAMBARA SREEPADAVALLABHA DIGAMBARA”.His joy knew no bounds and he realized that all his suffering was because he considered himself to be a high caste Brahmin & all others inferior to him and that was LORD DATTA’s way of telling him that to HIM all are equally dear and that caste & creed do not matter to HIM.The tribal doctor told Sankar Bhatt that his name was Vallabhadas & that he was only atoning for the sins committed by his ancestors in Pithapuram on

SRIPADA SRIVALLABHA who was God incarnate. He sympathized that his ancestors were not fortunate enough to recognize the LORD & seek his grace due to their arrogance & high headedness by heir purported vedic knowledge. Vallabhadas further advised Sankar Bhatt to shed his high caste feelings & surrender to the LORD in total innocence & ignorance and maintain DHARMA at all times. Then brotherly feelings arose in Sankar Bhatt towards Vallabhadas & his pride took to it’s heels. e thanked Vallabhadas profusely & then continued his journey to Kurwapur. Sankar Bhatt reached VICHITRAPURAM & fell in peculiar troubles there. He was accosted by soldiers & asked whether he was a Shivaite or Vaishnavaite. To this Sankar Das replied that he was a smartha & did not differentiate between Shiva & Vishnu although he prayed more to Shiva and that Adi Sankaracharya was his Guru.He was then taken to the king by the soldiers. On the way he was told by the soldiers that since his son was dumb, the king believed that it was due to wrong yagnas performed by the Brahmins.Hence he was tonsuring all the shaivaites & smearing on their face the Vishnunamas or vertical lines and

vice versa to the vaishnavites whom he would smear shivanamas or horizontal lines & parading them all together on donkeys backs in the town.Hence the king was summoning all the Brahmins to his court and asking them “If this is all, how much is all this ?”.To this no Brahmin replied satisfactorily & hence the king was humiliating all the Brahmins. The king allowed the Brahmins to have only a particular type of leafy green vegetable which was ordered to be grown all over the kingdom’s fields. The king was thus behaving maniacally & in a paranoid manner. Sankar Bhatt too was taken to the king’s court & was asked

the same question to which Sankar Bhatt replied “All is this much “.The king was very much impressed & recollected his past life when he was born as a poor Brahmin and grew leafy vegetables in his backyard & survived by selling them .He was exploited mercilessly by the rich Brahmins who thrived on his hard work. The king said that in the present birth he was born as the king and all those who exploited him in his past life were born as poor Brahmins. The king felt that Sankar Bhatt had summarized all the events in his past & present lives aptly saying that all is this much in return for one’s bad deeds in the past. Then the king’s

minister or RAJAGURU started testing him by beckoning with his fingers and asking if they were one or two. Sankar Bhatt thought that he was being asked if he was alone or was being accompanied by another person. He replied showing one finger only. Then the minister showed three fingers which reminded Sankar Bhatt of the TRINITY in LORD DATTA and he thought that he was being asked if he was a bhakta of Lord Datta. Since he believed that bhakti towards a particular deity or God was a personal issue not meant to be displayed in public, he replied with a closed fist implying thereby that it was a secret matter to be hidden in one’s heart only. Then to his surprise, the Rajaguru forcibly offered sweetmeats to him to eat but he refused and instead

showed them the small bag of parched rice that he carried. All this was construed by the Rajaguru in a highly spiritual manner & Sankar Bhatt was exclaimed as a great pandit by him. Sankar Bhatt was considered to be a great scholar even in sign language. The Rajaguru explained that Sankar Bhatt denoted with his one finger that Shiva & Vishnu were one and the same and that when he was shown three fingers denoting the TRINITY, he replied with a closed fist that all five fingers existed in unison in one hand and that when offered sweets signifying surrender & seeking discipleship at his feet, Sankar Bhatt replied showing the parched rice that he was like Kuchela- he was a simple contended Brahmin with no airs of a GURU or SISHYA parampara behind him. Sankar Bhatt himself then realized how differently different minds interpret the same thing!. He meant something & it was interpreted by the Rajaguru as something

totally different, but to his benefit. This benefit of doubt to him was only because of LORD SRIPADA SRI VALLABHA’s grace. Finally Sankar Bhatt was asked the numerological & exponential significance of each of the odd numbers mentioned in the Chamakam. To this Sankar Bhatt replied that the square root of two odd numbers added together gives the intervening even number.eg 1+3 = 4 whose square root is 2. The king and all his ministers were astounded by Sankar Bhatt’s reply & he was accordingly felicitated & set free to continue his onward journey to

Kurwapur.Sankar Bhatt thought that he had indeed exceeded his own expectations and that it was all due to the grace of LORD SRIPADA SRIVALLABHA . -----Fight back spam! Download the Blue Frog.http://www.bluesecurity.com/register/s?user=ZHJwcmtwcmFzYWQzMTIz
