Guest guest Posted January 18, 2007 Report Share Posted January 18, 2007 My dear Datta Bandhus all, JAI GURUDEVA DATTA,JAI SRIPADA SRIVALLABHA,JAI SRI NARASIMHA SARASWATHI ! JAI HO ! While I was nervously awaiting the dawn of this morning to begin my writing,I got a call from my daughter early morning asking me WHO IS DATTATRYA & what am I going to write on him !(She was told by her mother that her father is seriously planning to write about DATTATREYA in English).My daughter is studying in V.I.T.,VELLORE.She is doing her second year of B.Tech in BIOTECHNOLOGY & is 19 years old..I was pleasantly surprised on her call & tried to tell her in a nutshell who is LORD DATTATREYA.She was a bit confused and asked me to mail her all what I had told her on the phone.(I remember how way back in 1976 on my first trip to SHIRDI,I had similar doubts & asked my friend who SAI BABA was!.He just told me that he was an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya & nothing more.But then I did NOT then know who LORD DATTATREYA is/was/will be etc !.) I thus got initiated this morning to write on paper who is Lord Dattatreya & how his advent took place.I just started typing on the keyboard all my thoughts about HIM & HIS ADVENT and the article attached herewith took this shape.THIS IS NOT THE FINAL ARTICLE.It needs a lot of editing.But what I am trying to convey is HIS STRANGE WAYS OF GETTING THINGS THAT HE WANTS,DONE BY YOU !.He got me initiated into this sooner than I expected through my daughter.And to educate her on HIM,I needed to be short,sweet,up to the point-as concise as I cud possibly be.-Because I am writing to an uninitiated person who knows nothing about HIM.And I need to carefully avoid at all costs the chances of causing boredom in my daughter thru a long write up.I had to write it like an illustrated comic book but without illustrations.I request all of you to read this as though you were just being initiated into the DATTA FOLD & I want your opinions,comments & criticisms.I welcome all of them whole heartedly.Please oblige. -----Fight back spam!
