GURU DEVA DATTA Dear Datta priyas, Pranams! Now, I am trying to inform about Jagadguru Dattatreya tatva. As a devotee of Lord Dattatreya, I am not telling, but by referring the information connected to Dattaguru....I am sharing. Really, we are all blessed by Dattaguru and connected through this great powerful divine group as a members of Dattamahraj's family. Lord Dattatreya is Yogeshwareshwara and he is Mahaa sidhi swaroopa. It is not at all possible to know the Tatva of Dattaguru to any one. However, we are trying to

learn the basical information about Dattamaharaj. The Upanishads are clearly telling that, "DATTA VEEJASTHAM JAGATH SARVAM" ...means total Universe is Datta swaroopa. Dattatreya is Trimoorthi swaroopa, so every Datta sadhaka can see the EKATVA in BHINNATVA and can see the PARABRAHMA TATVA.Generally, God's nature (DAIVATVA) can appear in any Upasana. But in this Datta sampradaya, one can see the GURU and GOD's nature (Gurutva and Daivatva). So, this is the main reason to perform 'PAADUKAARCHANA' ( archana to sandals of Guru) in Datta sampradaya. We can see this Paadukaarchana in SHaaktheyam and in Datta sampradayam only. Genrally, God gives only what is asked by his disciples/servants/ devotees. He won't judge about the results of such askings. He will grant that boons irrespective of the such results.But Guru always gives what is needed by his disciples/servants/devotees. So, he will always sanction the boons of what is needed by

his servants at proper times. Hence Gurutatwa is more powerful than Bhagavat tatwa. But one has to surrender at the lotus feet of his Guru. Guru and Disciple Dattatreya is Guru to king Kaarthaveeryaarjuna, he is guru to Lord Parashurama, he is guru to Bhakta Prahlaada, he is guru to king Alarka, he is guru to Lord Subrahmanya. Hence he is Aadi Guru, Vishwa Guru and Jagadguru. Hence, Dattatreya tatwa is AVYAKTHA, NIRGUNA, NIRAAKAARA, NIRANJANA, NISHKRIYA, PARABRAHMA, SAGUNA SWAROOPA and it is SHREEMANNARAAYANA, PARAMESHA TATWA. Significane and Benefits of praying one's GURU: ================================== Reduction in Ego: Often seekers forget to thank God when their

prayers are answered or after deriving Bliss from rendering service. By paying gratitude to God for all the things in our lives we acknowledge the Lord’s help. This in a way helps to also reduce our ego, so that we rely less on our capabilities and more on our faith in God to give us the capability. Gratitude is a means of offering the doer-ship of an act to God / the Guru, hence it helps in reducing the ego. Increasing Spiritual emotion: When we have spiritual emotion which means having an intense awareness of God in our lives we constantly experience the Guru’s grace. One of the most essential attributes of spiritual emotion is our ability to pay gratitude for all that the Lord has given us. Guidance: For a seeker the all-wise and all-knowing Guru skillfully guides the spiritual progress of the seeker, which if left up to seeker alone, would have taken many lifetimes. For this, the seeker is eternally indebted to the Guru.

The unseen aspect - is also known as 'The Guru Principle'. The Guru is the Teaching Principle of God. This is the aspect of God that performs the function of guiding us to grow spiritually. Imagine a time when you were at a crossroad in your life or undergoing a crisis where you desperately needed some sound advice. Then almost magically, in the nick of time, you stumble upon a quote or a book or a stranger who helps you out with uncanny insight that immediately lifts the veil of gloom and suddenly everything seems clearer. At that time, moved by immense gratitude, you feel like kissing the book or hugging the perplexed stranger, profusely thanking them! This is just one example of the many ways the unseen aspect of the Guru influences and guides us. In reality it is He Whom we should be thanking. Guru

principle The seen aspect - is the physical form of ‘The Guru Principle’. While the Guru Principle is not a person, throughout the ages, this aspect of God has shone through certain individuals who have walked the earth. These enlightened souls act as a beacon of spiritual knowledge and guide mankind to higher levels of spiritual growth. Some examples of these enlightened souls are Saint Francis of Assisi, Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Swami Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Vivekananda. Dattatreya is Smarana priya. Hence we can see in Shree Datta stava raaja as DATTA DATTA IDAM VAAKYAM, THAARAKAM SARVA DEHINAAM|| SHRADHAYUKTHO JAPE NITYAM DATTA ITHYAKSHARA DWAYAM|| The two letters of DA and TTA means "DATTA" nama smarana, datta nama samkeerthan, datta nama dhyaana only will gives

Paramardha to every life. Whoever recites Datta naama with or without interest, he will be the side of those persons and will fulfill the desires of those servants. The same was told by Lord Dattatreya to Maharshi Dalaadana at the time of giving SHree Dattatreya Vajra Kavacha stotra. and at every moment, then Dattaguru will be adopted to his servants. DATTA means adoption. As his name itself clearly indicating that, he will always adopted to his real servants. Then he will perform service to his servants as adopted son just as pucca similar to the services rendering by a adopted son to his parents. That means he will always be under the control of his servants only. He will always try for the growth of image/status of his servants. He never cares for his personal image. He will always try to spread the importance and personal image of his servants instead of showing his leelas. Hence, he is terming as "BHAKTHA KEERTHI VIVARDHANA". He is "BHUKTHI, MUHTHI PRADAATHA" means, he will always sanction sukha in this loka and also in paraloka. He will always try to develop the GNANA in his servants. Hence the Datta sadhaks can lead the superb materialistic and spiritual life. This is permanant (SHAASWATHA), true (SATHYA) and Happy

(AANANDA). So, I request all the members of the group to recite datta nama "DIGAMBARA DIGAMBARA SHREE PAADA VALLABHA DIGAMBARA" or 'JAI GURUDEVA DATTA' or 'SHREE DATTA SHARANAM MAMA" or atleast DATTA. This is morethan enough to anyone in this society to reach the SALVATION at the end of one's life by enjoying all the life by fulfilling all the desires.
