Guest guest Posted December 26, 2006 Report Share Posted December 26, 2006 Dear member, Though I have termed it "erroneous", Iam also aware that one great Datta Upasaka in Guntur has a different opinion on this and he accepts even the word "samaavathu" as good. Ima telling this for your information. As far as my knowledge goes from the texts I have examined From Dattastava Manjari, Dattapadapanjarika, Dattatreya shlokas, Datta stava booklet and original text written by Vasudevananda Sarswathy, the word "Sanovathu" is correct. This Stava let me clarify has been originally written by Shri Vasudevanand Saraswathy swamy Maharaj (Tembe swamy- apara Dattatreya). I also take this opportunity to announce to members that I plan to build a Dattatreya-Srividya Temple as I come from Dattatreya sampradaya marga of Srividya under the auspices of my Gurunatha Sri Sri RajagopalaAnandanatha of Sarvamangala Rajarajeshwari Ashrama Temple in Chennai. I would also install Dattatreya idol in the complex and this will be built in Bhagyanagaram(Hyderabad as I prefer to call). Sri Subramanyam Bharathula has agreed to fully cooeprate and support this and as he is my close and co-moderator of this group and has been running my group so efficently all these months when I was really busy, I feel honoured to have the support of such a great Datta-persona. The whole temple will be built on Srividya Datta temple rules as laid out in Tantric texts such as Shaktha Pramoda, Parasurama Kalpataru, Dattapurana(sanskrit original) and Dattachintamani texts. Different Yantras will be placed and higly spiritual and motivated people will take care of the tmeple. Devotees who are interested in the project may respond to me at para_anuloma or subramanyamji at datta_gururaya Right now Iam in Rochester,Newyork.
