Dear All,

 

I promised Sri Subramanyam Bharathulaji that I would help him build

the temple for Lord Dattatreya. Iam currently trying to garner as

much funds for him and also spread the name of Lord Dattatreya.

 

Now that Khumbhabhishekam of Rajarajeshwari temple is over and I had

done my part in collecting funds for that temple for my Gurunatha.

Now that I have time, I thought let me spend it usefully to collect

funds for Sri Subramanyamji's Markapuram Datta temple.

 

Yesterday night, I had a good experience doing " Hari Om tat sat

Jayaguru Datta " which Subramanyamji recommended me to do for an

experience...(Puneet Baba Mantra)

this noble man....who is fighting a lone battle.....

Dear Sri Shreeram,

 

Love and Love alone ...

 

I have gone through your posting regarding Mr.

Subrahmanyam. I also know him for quite some time

through e-mail messages, though I have not met him

personally so far. I did send him money for

annadaanam, etc. I also know that he is a great Datta

devotee and the services he has been rendering are

quite visible and appreciable. But, this is first time

that I came to know about him in more detail. He

approached me for some service to children in the

Slate industry at Markapur and I replied to him in

detail what he should do. Now, having learnt more from

you, I feel that I should speak to him immediately and

meet him, if possible, in my next visit to Andhra

Pradesh in October. Meanwhile, we should spread the

word far and wide about the work he has been doing (I

am sure, you must be doing this by now) and extend him

a helping hand. I am sure, this will happen sooner

than later.

Subrahmanyam.

Dattatreya Mahima and Subramanyamji--the humble

Dear All,

 

Longtime since I have given a posting in my own group.

Yesterday, I met my co-moderator, sri Subramanyam

Bharathula who came all the way from Markapuram to

Chennai to see me before I leave USA. It was a

noble gesture.

 

He is tiring effortlessly to do Dattaseva and prachara

even at the cost of his own finances and abuses from

his family. He is now in an Overdraft!(credit with the

bank because he used his own personal money for the

noble causes).

 

Even yesterday he came from Cudappah to serve a whole

village of 200 families with Chicken gunya afflicted

victims and he himself contracted the disease for one

day while serving them!

 

My heart cries for him. Though qualified he still is a

clerk in LIC with meager income but a huge heart.

 

Seeing his dedication I have left this group in his

very able hands and rarely interfere in his activities

except give a posting or two.

 

But seeing his plight which he carried with noble

demeneour yesterday made me give this posting.

 

He never asked me for money but asked me to post in

this group as I do for my other Srividya

group(Rajarajeshwari_Kalpataru group) to sustain

interest in this rare deity.

 

I too come from Datta-sampradaya and our srividya

lineage is also Datta(Datta sampradaya baddha). My

Gurunatha got his mantra from Lord Dattatreya Himself.

 

Mr. Subramanyam is building a temple in Markapuram

with his own and some collected funds. The people in

his place shoo him away and dont give him any money,

even to collect rs.100 it is a big pain in the neck!

But still he sports a smile and Datta's name on his

lips.

 

Moreover many in this group and elsewhere in Andhra

are more devoted to Saibaba and know Dattatreya

through Saibaba and not the reverse, so the attention

paid is meager to this great God.

 

Dattatreya has given an assurance that whosoever

chants his name and spreads his name or teachings will

get His protection in all fronts. This was the first

Avadhutic promise much much before Shirdi sai Baba's

11 sayings/promises. Dattatreya is the patron deity

and the first Guru(Adiguru) of the Avadhutha marga and

I find that even Datta devotees are not patronizing

their own cult very much.

 

To cut a long story short(though I can write pages

after pages of what Mr.Subramanyam is undergoing to

popularize Datta's name), He needs more 15 lakhs of

rupees to build the temple.

Who is a true Datte Bhaktha?

 

I follow every word of my Guru and my Guru is life.I

drink the nectar water that has washed the

Dattabhakta's feet. I read Sri Gurucharitra. I do not

desire opulent food and clothing. I do not like to

hear gossip. When I see how the Dattabhakthas are

filled with ecstatic love, I also become ecstatic and

I roll in the dust that has touched their feet.

I thus end my speeding fingers emotional and tears

dropping on my keyboard for the pains which Sri

Subramanyamji is undergoing and roll in his feet dust

for my salvation
