Annadana programme-SAHASRA devotees at Gaanagapur- Rarest opportunity-Reminder

It is a rarest opportunity to every member of our

group and we are very happy to inform u that, Annadana programme is

arranging on 11th of June, 2006, Sunday (Eruvaka pournami) at Matha

praangana of Datta devasthan, Gaanagapur.

500 years back, Shri Bhaskar bhattu, a devotee of

Lord Dattatreya performed annadana to the people of Gaanagapur with

only 1kg (around) of rice to morethan 4000 devotees. The story was

explained in Shree Gurucharitra. Pl refer 491 message of this group

for further details of the programme and the concerned story.

Though some devotees are performing annadana

programme (rarely) at Gaanagapur, we are performing with the similar

procedure did by Bhaskarbhattu at that time like Naama smaran,

Shodosophachara puja to swamy, inviting Dattamaharaj to Bhiksha,

inviting the residents of Gaanagapur, inviting the devotees at

Sangam (a meeting point of Bheema and Amaraja rivers), covering

food items with shawl, Annadana to the devotees in the praangana,

merging the balance of food in the river for Bhootha tripthi etc.,

We are all aware that, Datta prabhu will come to

Gaanagapur everyday to accept Bhiksha. Some sadhaks are telling

that, Shree swamy is coming on that day to accept Bhiksha which is

offering by us. So, I request all the members of the group are

requested to participate in the programme and have the blessings of

Dattaprabhu. If it is not possible to come there, I request u to

pray Dattaprabhu and chant Dattanama (DIGAMBARA DIGAMBARA SHREE

PAADA VALLABHA DIGAMBARA OR AVADHOOTHA CHINTHANA SHREE GURUDEVA

DATTA) at 12.00 noon on 11th June, 2006 to accept Bhiksha which is

organising by our Group.
