Guest guest
Dear Sri Datta Bhaktas, Sai Ram. I would like to add a few more details to what Shri Shripad Deshmukh has given. Sri Kshetra Ganagapur is 21 kms from Ganagapur Road Railway Station. Hussainsagar Express is another good train to catch from Mumbai. It reaches Ganagapur Road Railway Station by 7 AM. From the railway station one has to catch a bus or auto or jeep to reach Ganagapur Bus Stand and from there autos and tangas (horse drawn carts) are available to go to Sangam, the confluence of Bhima and Amaraja rivers. There is a Datta temple at Sangam, Audumbar and a Siva Temple too. After taking bath and worshipping Lord Datta and Lord Siva there, one can go back to Ganagapur and go to the Nirguna Paduka Math and worship the Padukas of Sri Narasimha Saraswati Swamy. Prasad is given to all the devotees after the Maha Naivedyam at aound 1 PM or so. There are a good number of Ashrams and a few hotels too for staying. Annadan is carried out at many places. Ganagapur is nearer to Gulbarga than to Solapur, just 35 kms. And all the major express trains stop at Gulbarga too. From Gulbarga, one can go to Hyderabad by either bus or train. The distance is 210 kms and the road is good. It will be a good idea to visit Akkalkot too when visiting Ganagapur. The road is not good and the distance of about 70 kms takes about 2 and 1/2 hours. The fare is Rs.40/-. Akkalkot has good accommodation and Prasad (lunch) is served at around 12:30 hrs in a big hall. If any one wants to send some money to Ganagapur, I can give the addresses of the temple priests. Sai Ram.
