Guest guest
Good day Dear Brothers and Sisters, Its Tuesday, March 30th, 2010 Today is Hanuman Jayanti by one method of counting the dates in hindu calender system ... Its the full moon of Chaitra Maas (Month) which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the most well known and loved of Lord Rama's devotees ... Hanuman is an enigmatic figure in hindu thought because He is the only celestial deity who is ajar amar (or immortal youth) and whose brahmacharya is also the most misunderstood Brahmacharya or what the hindu scriptures refer to as a regulated Life is so often and most times confused with celibecy ... So, then am I asying that hanuman was not a celibate ???? Perish the thought ... Hanumanji was a celibate alright .... and to an extent so was Ravana So then , why the vast difference in the fates they experienced The Hindu scriptures define Brahmancharya as a regulated Life Unlike the catholic priests celibecy (another misunderstood notion, leading to those widespread scandals), brahmacharya' s regulated Life allowed the rishies and saints to marry and have sex at appointed times with their consorts to serve the twin purpose of procreation and keeping the sexual fires under control ... Suppression was never the idea in Indian celibecy ... Regulation was and is the basis of a brahmacharyic Life Suppression was undertaken by Ravana and he paid the consequences thereof when the suppressed sexual energy temporarily clouded his mind when on beholding Mother Sita, his sight changed to that of lust in a scandalously amourous manner Contrast that with Hanuman's celibecy wherein he didn't suppress his sexual energy ... So, then ??? He was also a celibate right ??? Think back to what is Hanuman known as ??? Brahmachari or .......??? Bal Brahmachari? ?? Bal is the hindi equivalent of a "child" Hanuman was/is a child celibate All of his energies were not suppressed but were in fact diverted to serving the purpose of His Lord Rama ... Energy is Shakti Shakti is not a still entity but a dynamic one It cannot be suppressed without dire consequencesIts a vector .. not a scalar That is why it is the basis of Life as we know Life Shiva (the blessed one) becomes Shava (corpse) in the absence of Shakti ... unable to perform any action or deed One theory I have about Hanuman (a personal one) is that by repeated births and the knowledge acquired thereof, he had acquired the ability to control the genetic switches that define and manifest Life and its processes Possibly, He did not switch on the sex gene, thus allowing him to use all the energies in the service of Lord Rama ... Meaning he did not go through puberty ... Perhaps that is why a "Bal brahmachari" Just thinking this part out aloud A character who was/is a cheerful driving engine of Sri Rama's goals and achievment of purposes, He is one character who remains untouched by the blows of time and is still believed to be living in Kalyug, helping and assisting those on the spiritual path by clearing the obstacles in their path to union with the Supreme God - His Lord Sri RamaA bunch of emails cannot be expected to cover the personaof Hanuman .. This is but a humble attempt at one of his core aspects ... Wishing all members best wishes on the birth of this greatest and most blessed of Sri Rama's devotees ..May His blessings guide you on the path of spiritual progress While you are downloading the wallpapers, Here are some links for Hanuman Devotees Hanuman Chalisa & Bajrang Ban Text || Om Shri Hanumate Namah: || Here are the Texts of the Mantras in image files Shri Hanuman Chalisa Text (2 Files): hanuman-chalisa- text-1-2.
