Palalayam of Sri JAMADAGNISWARAR temple

Dear ALL,

 

With blessings of Lord Shiva we are undertaking renovation, building of rajagopuram, and kumbabishekam of Sri JAMADAGNISWARAR temple.

 

This temple is in Ariyalur district (Tamil nadu). This temple was built in the year 1166 by Chola King Rajaraja II .At present this village is called as Udayavar Theeyanur. But there is one more name for this village- Manukula Kesari nallur. Manukula kesari is the name of second son of Rajendra chola.As per legend JAMADAGNI rishi prayed here to lord Shiva.

 

The palalaym for these works is being done on 4th March 2010 (Thursday) between 10:30 Am to 11:30 AM
