Maa- we are all God's children-continued

Namaste Eric and all family:

Good to hear from you Eric, and so glad to hear from all of our family. I keep

referring to Maa autobiography, " Living with the Soul " , to answer questions and

obtain guidance, and this brief statement from Maa may help to sooth our hearts

when confronted with intolerance.

Maa says: " I never felt that the Muslims were of a different religion. It felt

that we were all human beings and we just pray in different ways. Also in

Hinduism, I never made distinctions between Krishna, Shiva, and Shakti.

God is God,{She laughs}. When our Muslim neighbors prayed, we joined with them

and they joined with us when we prayed. We were very close, we were one family.

I totally followed what Ramakrishna did. He was guiding me. It doesn't matter

who the teacher is, Buddha, Jesus, or Ramakrishna. It's the same truth, the same

wisdom. "

There is a teaching story I once heard. It goes this way: a man walked down the

road and passed a home with a very angry growling dog. He was scared and as he

passed the dog, he trembled with fear.

A sadhu walked down the same road, and passing the dog he smiled and remarked:

" Nice teeth " , and walked along chanting him mantra.

May Maa bless us all with harmony, love, and pure devotion, so that we can see

and remark: " nice teeth " , no matter what outer turmoil is present in our

environment. May we always see the highest value, and share our love and give

blessings.

the line in the sand. I still love this woman, but I cannot continue with

someone who does not share my path. This is so tough when people see us as crazy

for following our devotion and our divine impulse. Why all this fighting? Why

should people who worship fire be burned at the stake? What is wrong with seeing

God in form or matter? If we are all Gods children how can we end the prejudice

of my path is greater than yours, or that all mantras, ceremonies are nothing

but mindless superstitions that are dangerous?Â
