Namaste Karen!

The Evening Arati within the Devi Mandir temple nearly always begins

promptly at 6:30PM by daylight savings time here on the West Coast of

California. One of our devotees or pujaris performs the full Mangala Arati

offering 10 items to the Gods and Goddesses, while we often sing a Ramakrishna

Sharanam song, or one of the other well-known Aratis like Jai Jagadish Hare, or

sometimes we just play rhythmic drums and other instruments. Our Arati closes

with the blowing of a Conch Shell, a quiet period of meditation, and a closing

prayer which is sung.

Usually one of our web cameras is focused directly on the main altar at the

front of the temple so others can see the Gods and Goddesses and the pujari

performing the Arati. I am not aware that we are experiencing any technical

difficulties on our end. Try tuning in again, and if all else fails, you can

call us at (707) 966-2802.

Sincerely,

Kamala

absence? I have tuned in with the webcams but seem to be missing arati. Thank

you. Namaste, Karen
