The Vana BhOjanOthsavam is conducted during the Month of Kaarthigai ( as at SriperumbhUthUr) and in the month of Maasi at other dhivya dEsams . PerumAl heads for a grove (ThOppu ) near His dhivya dEsam and there He is presented with VisEsha TaLigai ( Pongal , Sakkarai Pongal , Kadhamba Saatham and DadhiyOdhanam ) . PrasAdham is distributed to all devotees . On return to the temple , th Lord enjoys Thirumanjanam with SuddhOdhakam ( Suddha Jalam ) an dthen reenters His AasthAnam .
