DEAR SRIVAISHNAVAS,

KURESA VIJAYAM 14 - “Shiva Bestows Ashta Aishwarya to his devoteesâ€

Saiva pandit’s claim:

Lord Shiva bestows a person with the eight kinds of Wealth (Asta Aishwarya). These are Anima, Mahima, Lakima, Karima Esitvam, Vasithvam, Prapti and Prakamyam.

Hence He is Supreme.

Swami Kurathazwan’s disagreement of the above statement:

Lord Shiva grants Swarga Loka (Heaven) to his devotees after death.

Whereas, those who prey Sriman Narayana with pure devotion, will get rid of this sorrowful worldly pleasures and attain the highest abode Paramapadham to enjoy immense Bliss. They will not have any re-birth (Na cha Punaravarthathe..)

The wealth and leelas of inept Shiva will get vanished during Pralaya but Vishnu’s

Paramapada [sri Vaikunda] is undestroyable and stays forever [nithyathva].

During the Mahapralaya, four headed Brahma, Three eyed Shiva and Indradhi devas will be vanished along with their worlds.

Harivamsa of Mahabharatha states thus :–

Ghantakarna prayed Shiva for salvation. Siva advised that since only Vishnu can grant salvation, they should worship Vishnu and proceed to Dwaraka to meet him.

Ghantakarna explained that the hunt is to conduct a Vishnu Pooja (Worship of Vishnu). Then he start meditation. Pleased by his devotion, Krishna reveals his true form in the minds of these two meditating devotees. The Ghantakarna was happy by the vision of Vishnu .Upon opening his eyes, he saw Vishnu standing in front of him exactly as they had seen him during meditation.

Ghantakarna offered Krishna a piece of flesh from the fresh dead body of a brahmin, saying that that is the best food. Krishna says he is pleased with their devotion, but politely refuses the offering. He converts the Ghantakarna to divine bodies and sends them to heaven.

The Asura told krishna that when he prayed to Lord Shiva to grant him moksha, the three eyed siva informed him-

Only Lord Vishnu can Grant Mukthi to anyone. There is no doubt about that.

So go to see Krishna who is the incarnation of Vishnu and plead before Him for Moksha.

Hence we came here.

This being the truth its absurd to tell Shiva can give highest abode.

Inaddition, Lord Mahavishnu who is also the granter of Wordly Pleasures (Iha Loka Ishwarya) to those who prayed him viz. Young baktha duruva , famous Vibeeshana and Chakravarthi Mahabali are a few to be worth mentioning here.

“Akasaath pathitham thoyam yada gacchathi sagaram sarva deva namaskaraha kesavam prathi gacchathiâ€

Like the rain water which falls on ground and flows to the Ocean, all the Prayers offered to other dieties, goes to the Lotus of kesava.

All the Sastras proclaim that.

Whatever prostration and prayers offered to Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva , Lord Indra et all, reach Lord Vishnu who is residing in these Demi Gods as Antharyami.

Lord Vishnu who is residing in all the atmas is the giver of all the Materialistic Worldly pleasures to the people who prays to these Demi Gods.

Koorathazhwan explained in detail giving apt quotes from Pramana and nullified the Saiva Pandit’s claim.

To be continued………
