Tonsure (mottai) for my girls

Dear Vasu mama:

 

I hope you are doing well!

My kids are a year and a half old. Our family has a

tradition of doing the tonsure at Tirupati on the first

birthday. We couldn't do it because of their health.

 

Can we do the tonsure locally in the USA and collect

and donate the hair at Tirupati later?

Circumstances make it necessary to cut the hair now instead

of waiting till their next birthday.

Should we do the haircut ourselves or by any professional barber.

God is giving us sevai in different form only to satisfy our thirsty.

 

You can do the tonsure at USA itself just tying up a coin in a yellow cloth

before the Thirumalaiyappan Patam in your house, and pray kshamarpanam for your

inability.

 

Then again when you are able to go to Thirumalai, do the tonsure once again

there, no necessary to bring the hairs from there.

It is better to use the proper barber's service for that.
