I am not a fully qualified Bruhaspathy to address these questions competently . Does this have any significance? Regards, *** Thila homam can be done as prayachitham for many dhoshas. Mostly it will be done for puthra bhakyam. It should be done at Thiruppullani not in Rameswaram, where the King Dasarada done the puthra kameshti yaagam and got Rama and anujas (brothers) as puthras. The sethu snanam is mentioned as the place which will relieve all the dhoshas from a person by rushis in sastras. And hence the snanam and immediately doing the homam there itself because there may be chance to get papam or dhosham before reaching his place.
