Namaste!

When we go by scientific reasoning behind eclipse, it is all the more interesting to watch and enjoy solar/lunar eclipses.

But when it comes to religion, it seems opposite. According to this, the eclipse happens when Rahu grabs Sun/Moon and thus we say Grahana. When the Sun & Moon being dieties worthy of being prayed to by all the mankind, if undergoes this sort of Grahana by an Asura, is it ok for us to look at it and enjoy.

Regarding where the lunar eclipse is visible check out:http://tinyurl.com/njotsClick on it to enlarge the image.You will see two diagrams:1 of the Moon moving through the shadow with annotations such P1, U1, U2 etc2 of the map of the earth showing where the eclipse will be visible.On the right hand side between these two diagrams you will see a table oftimes called "Eclipse contacts" which give you the time in UT - UniversalTime--which for all intents and purposes is the same as GMT fornon-astronomers like us.
