SrI Rama MangaLam : Who is the Author ?

Sri Sadagopan,

 

This particular mangalam is quite unique, but I believe it is listed

in Chinna Jeeyar Swamigal's " Sripathi StuthimAla " . I will check with

people who may be familiar with this work and will let you know.

It is believed to have been by Varavara Muni. I have started a translation in "Lord Rama" orkut community being run by adiyen and have come up to "dhaNdakAraNya vAsAya...".

This was what I had heard, as well, but I wanted to verify with those

who would be familiar with it. I am glad that this has been confirmed

by others. This does seem to make sense since the mangalam concludes

with " mangalAsana parE madAcharya... " , which is commonly used

Mamunigal and his Ashtadigajas.

There are a number of Sri KrishNa

MangaLams called Thodaya ManagaLams

sung before Bhaagavatha MeLa Bhajanais.

The authors of these KrishNa Managalams

range from Leela Sukhar famous for

His KrishNa KarNAmruthams to

Annamayyaa . There are also MangaLams

by Purandara Daasa .

 

You have to specifiy the one you have in mind .

VIBHAVA AND ANTHARYAMI,  ARCHA IS THE SUPREME FORM FOR ACCESSIBILITY &

SUPREMECY ie. SOULABHYAM AND PARATWAM AS WELL.  SO ONCE ARCHA IS SUNG, OUR

ACHARYAS NEVER GO TO A LOWER FORM OF THE LORD.

BECAUSE THE NAME TAKEN TO LORD SRIRAMA IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE WORD “CHAKRAVARTHI

THANU:JAYA†‘chakravarthit thirumaganar’.

SO CHANTING IS NOT A DOSHAM, BUT NOT NEEDED ALSO.
