Royar shop is preferrable shince he is experienced in this for years together and he gives only good moortham to devotees. Guest guest Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Dear all While selecting/purchasing the Salagrams at Nepal especially in Pokhran, one should be very careful lest they would be dumbed with duplicates made of hard rubber. It would look exactly like a original salagram but it is not. The weight will be very light and if you press it very hard, you will feel the softness. The man who brings these stones to the hotel where you stay at Pokhran and spread them on the lawn, you will fuind hundreds of salagram in different sizes and shapes. It will be very difficult to ascertain whether it is original or made of hard rubber. We had been to Mukthinath in the month of May 2009 and we bought the salagrams at Pokhra and more than 15 stones were duplicates and made of hard rubber. FYI, during our regular visits, this was pointed out and we never entertain such type of salagramams making it very clear to the yatris about the same.
