And, it is not part of vedic astrology, because vedic astrology (or any astrology) is really meant for the person who is a regular, householder type individual (does not have to have a family -- Singles too qualify). For most, astrology does not give absolutely perfect answers so that every move becomes successful. It gives enough 'positivity', though, in one's outlook (nativity and astrologer) to raise hope and bring one to the awareness that perhaps there is a Greater Intelligence that is in Control over this creation, despite the mad monkeys that are running rampant in the world in many shapes and forms! Sooner or later, that thought (awareness about THE Intelligence not the monkeys!) holds root and even the so called 'regular' person begins to think more about the bigger picture, as awareness expands ...! In the development of Human 'being' as an individual soul, I consider Astrology as the teachers in Kindergarten and elementary school. It is true that we may not use today as grown-ups what they taught us, but we still USE all the faculties that they allowed us to express and " shaped " those for even finer performance! After all Astrology is the he study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies in the belief that they have an influence on the course of natural earthly occurrences and human affairs . Wise man would always treat Astrological predictions /report at par with any good meteorological predictions / report as writings on the wall (for e.g.. National Weather forecast in USA http://www.weather.com/) and would try to evade / avoid any adverse situation. If you take it in the right sense,you would agree that both the above systems exist to caution the humanity against eventual fortune or misfortune.
