Guest guest
Dear Arkaydash, I have always believed that the Panch Mahapurusha yogas have the basis in aspect of the graha in own or exaltation house in a strong place like kendra, ion other kendra and its acting as Paraspara karaka to other kendras. That being so , it is certain that should they conjoin other planet, the effects will be much reduced. In the instant case, Saturn is lord of 8th too, besides being 9th lord and so carries some blemish from the 8th to Jupiter. That is why I think the PM yoga is not free of blemish. Chandrashekhar. arkaydash wrote: Dear Sir, Your remarks about Hamsa yoga in Nalini's chart set me thinking. You say Saturn's conjunction with Jupiter curtails Hamsa Yoga. This is new to me and startlingly so. All I can muster in the context is luminaries defeat Panchmahapurusha Yoga. This qualification to the P. yoga I encountered in one of the books by a modern authors. I will try to track him and tell the group. What do you think is the rationale? Is it because Sa brings with him the whiff of Ju's debility sign, Capri?
Guest guest
Dear Lalit, Which commentary? Santhanam's? If that is so -- Sa reducing or breaching another Panchamahapurusha yoga -- there ought to a rationale. I am looking for that. I want a reliable sounding board, hence my query to Shree Chandrashekhar. Anyway, I will supply two example horoscopes straight from memory and we will see whether Hamsa, Bhadra and Malavya are dented by Saturn's aspect or yuti. I leave out Ruchaka, believing Ruchaka and Sasa yogas are brought on by two malefic planets and belong together. The two charts cover the three yogas under Saturnian rings. The first is a male's, the other is a female's. Lagna in Gemini; Ven in 3rd in Leo; Mercury, Moon and Sun in 4th in Vir; Rahu in 6th Scorpio; Jupiter and Mars in 7th in Sag; Sa in 10th in Pis; Ketu of course in Taurus. Vimsottari dasha now is Mer Maha, Mars Upadasa. The native is 70 yrs old. Bhadra and Hamsa obtain. Both the causative plants Me and Ju are under Saturn's gaze. Me gets luminaries' company. Jup gets Mars's. What happens to the double Mahapurusha yogas? First' may the group think tank declare the effects, then I will supply the reality check. Chart Two Lagna in Libra; Ven in 1st in Libra; Saturn and Ketu in 4th in Capri: Ju in 5th in Aqu; Mars in 9th in Gemini; Sun, Moon and Mercury in 12th in Virgo: Rahu of course in Cancer in 10th. The native is running Jupiter Maha and Mars Upadasa; 45 yrs old. Malavya yoga and Sasa yoga are forming in the chart. The yogakaraka planet Sat is attaining Panchamahapurush yoga strenght/status and aspecting friend Ven, which is generating Malavya yoga. Let's see what Shani Maharaj, even a Sani M. of Sasha eminence in one instance doing to the other PM yogas-- the three PM yoga brought on by soumya, namely Bhadra, Hams, and Malavya. If these three yogas are getting nullified, if at all, is it thanks to Sa? I will say if they are getting nullified or not. That bit must hang in the air. May the 'prabuddha' have a great time! Guest guest
Dear RK, In the first case Bhadra yoga is anyway nullified due to presence of luminaries. The Hamsa yoga caused by Jupiter is nullified by conjunction with Mars. If I am not mistaken there are also marital problems in that chart. Shasha yoga in the 2nd chart is nullified due to Ketu conjoining Saturn. One nadi reference says that Malavya yoga is nullified due to conjunction of Ketu with Venus and the same logic can be extended here. Hamsa yoga however obtains as Venus is alone in the Lagna, not conjunct any graha. Chandrashekhar. rk dash wrote: Dear Lalit, Which commentary? Santhanam's? Guest guest
Dear Lalit, The sages have given the yogas very clearly as one of the five grahas being in Kendra in own rasi or exaltation rasi, period. So it is obvious that should other planets be with them the results of the yogas as given in the texts will not be felt to the same extent, or even may not be felt at all. The reason for the yoga bhanga are not given, but applying basic astrological principles one can hazard an educated guess. When Sun is with a planet, the planet looses its strength, especially if within combustible distance. Again moon, by itself, has a tendency of causing fluctuation in the results of the bhava occupied and its conjunction may therefore lessening of the effects of the yoga. This may be the reason that the yogas get either diluted or wiped out because of presence of luminaries with them. Chandrashekhar. litsol wrote: Resp Chandra Sir and RK Daa, Pls. let us know more if sun and moon both can curtail hansha and bhadra yoga.
