Guest guest
Dear friends, A serious weather disturbance has occurred in the midwest of the USA in the past week. The worst floods to hit the state of Ohio in one hundred years have been reported (see attached news story). In the SAMVA USA chart (see attached gif file), the events are primarily explained by the conditions facing Venus, which rules the comfort of the people. As Venus is L4, the condition facing the 4th house also become important. In the natal chart, Ketu at 17° 46' Libra is conjunct natal H4 MEP, giving scope for setbacks related to the general and functional indications of Venus. Ketu has been in mutual aspect with transit Rahu at 13° 06' Aries H8, channeling disturbance to the 4th house indications. Moreover, L8 Saturn has been transit conjunct L4 Venus (6-21 August 2007). Both of these aspects are important, as the 8th house rules storms. Other difficult aspects affecting Venus in the Cancer rising chart include, MMP Saturn being transit conjunct L2 Sun (16-28 August) as Venus was transiting Leo H2 until 20 August. Venus than entered Cancer H1 in retrograde motion, while transit L1 Moon passed through Scorpio H5, its sign of debilitation, from 20 August and Sagittarius H6 from 23 August. All of this time, the Moon was weak. Moon also passed through the aspect of natal Rahu in Aries H10 in the afternoon of 24 August, further adding to the disturbance. Transit L6 Jupiter at 16° 36' Scorpio H5 has also been aspecting H1 MEP, adding to the discomfort of the Moon and in turn Venus. The Moon entered Capricorn H7 in the afternoon yesterday, 25 August, promising easier conditions for Venus and the comforts of the people going forward. Other difficult transits of note for Cancer ascendants in general are the conjunction of L8 Saturn with L3 Mercury (16-21 August) and the transit opposition of L10 Mars with L6 Jupiter (16 August - 2 September). Also transit Ketu has been conjunct transit L3 Mercury (21-26 August). L3 Mercury is also passing under the aspect of natal Rahu (23-29 August). At the same time, the chart for Ohio must also be showing some serious afflictions. Best wishes, Thor More storms hit Ohio; many in Midwest wait for power to return - Tornado warnings issued Saturday for parts of central, southeast Ohio- About 100,000 in northern Illinois remained without power Saturday- Flooding from Minnesota to Ohio has been blamed for at least 18 deaths- FEMA director visits Minnesota, Wisconsin, which were hit by flooding COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Storms slammed rain-soaked Ohio on Saturday as hundreds of thousands of people in the Midwest were without power after their homes were battered by lashing winds and flooding rains. Residents in DeKalb, Illinois, work on a pump to clear knee-deep water from the basement of a home Friday. Tornado warnings were issued Saturday afternoon for parts of central and southeast Ohio. Downed trees and power lines were reported in the southern part of the state, said National Weather Service meteorologist Andy Hatzos. Flooding this week spread across an 80-mile swath through the northwest and north central parts of the state. Gov. Ted Strickland toured some of the damaged areas Saturday. "What I've tried to do, and what we've all tried to do, is let these folks know ... that we are working to get assistance to them as rapidly as possible," Strickland said. Powerful storms rolling through the Upper Midwest during most of the past week caused disastrous floods from southeastern Minnesota to Ohio that were blamed for at least 18 deaths. See tips for surviving floods » In southern Michigan, the skies were clearing Saturday but more than 100,000 customers were without power, utility companies said. The National Weather Service confirmed multiple tornadoes touched down Friday in a 12-mile area in Livingston, Genesee and Oakland counties. Damage in Fenton was extensive, Mayor Sue Osborn said Saturday. "I have seen houses that have trees go right through them," she said. Only residents were being allowed into the city, she said. Matt McClanahan's Cohoctah Township home was among at least 17 destroyed by a twister. "I've seen devastation and I've helped clean up, but I've never seen it be me," he said. "I bought a bottle of Jim Beam, and it's in the house. I could really use a sip of that right now." See the damage in Cohoctah Township » About 100,000 ComEd customers in northern Illinois remained without power Saturday, ComEd spokesman Joe Trost said. Power to more than half a million customers had been restored since Thursday's storm, but it could take days to restore power to all customers, officials said. The storms in Illinois were responsible for at least one death: a man struck by a wind-toppled tree, officials said. In addition, an autopsy was planned on a man found lying in more than 2 feet of water in his basement in suburban Inverness, officials said. Rain had mostly stopped falling Saturday in northern Illinois as a line of storms moved eastward and southward, and the flood waters that had risen steadily slowed to a creep or began to drop in some areas. Flood warnings remained in effect in 14 counties "There's so much flooding continuing from the rain and runoff from two days ago," said Mark Ratzer, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. "That's going to take a while to recede." See images of flooding from all over » Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator R. David Paulison surveyed damage Friday in Rushford, Minn., which was especially hard hit by this week's flooding. Mayor Les Ladewig said about half of Rushford's 760 homes were damaged, including 248 that were destroyed and 91 with serious damage. About 1,500 homes were damaged around Minnesota. Paulison said FEMA recovery centers should be running early next week in the three counties where President Bush declared disasters Thursday. Paulison also visited Wisconsin, where flooding destroyed 44 homes and damaged more than 1,400, most of them in the southwestern part of the state. E-mail to a friend Moody friends. Drama queens. Guest guest
PS it could be added to the foregoing analysis that as the Moon transited Scorpio H5, its sign of debilitation, it passed over the aspect of natal L6 Jupiter on 21 August, transit L6 Jupiter on 22 August, over natal L8 Saturn on 22/23 August and also into the aspect of transit Ketu in 13° Leo on 24 August as it passed through Sagittarius H6. The natal Moon at 7° 26' Taurus H11 has also been receiving a close aspect from transit L8 Saturn at 4° 45' Leo H2. In short, the transit and natal Moon, as dispositor of transit Venus, has been hammered by a sequence of adverse transit aspects when the storm was culminating. Guest guest
Dear friends, In view of the applying transit aspect of L8 Saturn to natal L1 Moon in the SAMVA USA chart, with transit L4 Venus being placed in Cancer H1 (until 30 September), it is likely that as transit Moon passes through the aspect of natal L8 Saturn on 27 August and the following two days as it passes through Aquarius H8 (where it will come within the aspect of natal Ketu at 18° and become conjunct transit Rahu at 13° Aries),that the weather disturbances reemerge. At the same time, the transit Sun, the dispositor of transit Saturn, will begin to pass over the stationary nodal axis. Fortunately, the Sun is strong in Leo, reducing the malefic impact. Best wishes, Thor SAMVA , " cosmologer " <cosmologer wrote: > > PS it could be added to the foregoing analysis that as the Moon > transited Scorpio H5, its sign of debilitation, it passed over the > aspect of natal L6 Jupiter on 21 August, transit L6 Jupiter on 22 > August, over natal L8 Saturn on 22/23 August and also into the aspect > of transit Ketu in 13° Leo on 24 August as it passed through > Sagittarius H6.
