Guest guest
Respected Professor Sri V.K.Choudhry, Pranams. I have been learning SA for the past one year through your wonderful books and through the insights provided by you and the learned members of this group. Thanks a lot for putting an end to the years of confusions we had in the field of astrology. Sir, I have a doubt. We have learnt from you the importance of selecting the auspicious Muhurtha for wearing the relevant stone. Likewise, do we need to select an auspicious time for purchasing the stone? I am asking this because of an incident that has happened recently. A lady who is our neighbor recently purchased a Ruby stone. Within half an hour of purchase, a sad incident took place in her family. Her brother in-law died of a road accident. (As she has Leo Ascendant with Sun in the 6th house, I found that the stone is suitable for her horoscope.) The Date/Time of purchase of the stone : 6th April 2007: 6.15 PM: Chennai. This time corresponds to Asc Virgo 21 deg, with badly placed old age Asc Lord Mercury in 6H; Nodes are closely at the MEP of 6H & 12H and thereby afflicting most of the houses. The 12L Sun is in the MEP of 7H & closely afflicting the MEP of 1H. 6L Saturn was in MEP of 11H and thereby afflicting the 1H,5H & 8H. Badly placed 2nd lord in 8H and 8thlord in 6H is observed. This clearly shows that, the time chosen for purchase of the stone is inauspicious. My doubt is: 1. Do we need to select an auspicious time for purchasing the stone? 2. While selecting such a Muhurtha, should we ensure that, the planet corresponding to the selected stone is not a malefic planet for the particular Muhurtha ? (In the above case,Ruby was purchased in a Virgo ascendant time, where Sun becomes a malefic planet, afflicting the ascendant.) Thanks a lot for your valuable time. Seeking your blessings. Guest guest
Hello Mr. Balaji, It may be just a chance. The event might be reflected in the chart of the brother in law. The selection of an auspicious time for purchasing the stone is not necessary. The wearing time is important. Best wishes. - " balaji balasubramaniam " <balaji_baktha <SAMVA > Saturday, May 26, 2007 5:56 PM Auspicious time for purchasing stone | Respected Professor Sri V.K.Choudhry, | | Pranams.
