Guest guest Posted November 21, 2006 Report Share Posted November 21, 2006 Wednesday, 22 November 2006, 01:50 GMT Helicopter crashes in North Sea A helicopter has crashed into the North Sea off the coast of the Netherlands, but all 17 people on board have been pulled safely from the water. The crash occurred at midnight (2300 GMT) about 25km (15 miles) from the port of Den Helder, north of Amsterdam. The Super Puma, carrying four crew and 13 oil platform workers, developed engine trouble, the coast guard said. Most of the survivors were put onto a rescue boat. One was flown to hospital with hypothermia.
