We have already successfully made predictions on their basis with respect to financial stability or earthquakes. Astrology and the weather is another interesting subject. One way to approach SA astrology for the study of weather is to examine the description of the planets in terms of their qualities. The planets are divided into groups of cold to hot and moist and dry. HOT The Sun is a hot and dry planet. Mars and Ketu are fiery and dry planets. Ketu brings sudden heat or changes, even explosions. Mars may also have this influence. WARM Venus is a warm and moist planet.Jupiter is described as mild and warm. The transit strength and placement of Venus seems to be important for the overall comfort of the people. NEUTRAL Mercury, and Rahu are not described as hot or cold. Rahu brings storms. COLD Saturn is a cold and dry planet, while the Moon is a cold and moist planet As the Moon is a cold and moist planet it could be expected to bring rain when in contact with a heat producing planet. Planets in dusthanas or functional malefic planets may also bring storms when afflicted. The weather service in Iceland is warning of a severe storm at around 7:00 tomorrow morning, 10 November 2006. In the Virgo 9° 32' rising chart the Sa/Sa period is running until Jan. 08. Saturn as L6 has just entered the sign Leo and H12. Hence, the general trend should be for colder and drier weather in its period and especially now when it is badly placed and weak in transit at 0° 30' Leo. Saturn´s dispositor, L12 Sun, is in transit at 24° Libra where it is at the time of the predicted arrival of the storm exactly afflicting natal L11 Moon at 24° Aries in H8. Note a heat producing planet is afflicting a moist planet in H8. This could be important for the storm. Meanwhile transit Sun is also conjunct and combust transit L2 Venus at 27° Libra and transit L1 Mercury at 21°Libra, reducing the overall comfort. Note that the Sun is also afflicting another moist planet, Venus, and this could be an additional factor to expect a lot of percipitation with this storm. In fact, it is being predicted. Natal L8 Mars at 22° 07' Cancer in H11 is also afflicting the transit Sun and Mercury, while transit Mars is closely afflicting also transit Mercury. This influence suggests additional turbulence. Transit L11 Moon at 25° 35' Gemini has also entered the aspect of transit Rahu at 29° 49' Aquarius in H6. As the aspect grows closer throughout the day, we could expect the storm to last for some hours, or until around 2PM local time (GMT) when this aspect becomes exact. Finally, transit L4 Jupiter at 3° Scorpio in H3 is afflicted by both natal Rahu at 5° Cancer in H11 and transit Rahu at 29° 49' in Aquarius and H6, further signifying a storm. As Jupiter is L4 which rules fixed assets, damage to property should not be excluded given this double affliction by a storm producing planet.
