Here is a chart of a friend of mine who has been going through a bad phase for more than a year now. The native (female) had gone through depression bouts (relationship problems).. this was followed by an attempt to take her life and soon afterwards her mother passed away a month ago. I noticed that she is born on an amavasya tithi which is ruled by Rahu. I was thinking of suggesting the remedy for the same, based on gurudeva's book, Vedic Remedies. In addition I have suggested that she fast on Wednesday as her UL falls in Virgo. She is not married as yet. Please advice if some other remedy is needed. Will be ever grateful. Birth in Amavasya shall make Mercury very violent in the chart. The dasa of Mercury shall be very bad even if it is the lord of the Lagna. Now, here mercury is the Lord of the Upapada and thus, the UL is vitiated and marriage delayed or denied. In addition to fasting on wednesdays, ask her to get an idol of Vishnu - height of her palm (vertical) but bigger than palm (horizontal). Ask her to worship Bhagavan Vishnu with the appropriate mantra like the astakshari mantra. Marriage will happen based on Saturn & Jupiter transts - see them carefully. Fasting is severe i.e. ONLY WATER.
