The first step is to calculate from Mercury to its Moolatrikona and this is

13

Now, 13-1= 12. We can add one for exaltation and get 12 +1 = 13. However the

maximum period is limited to 12 years.

Now, the Moola dasa period is Vimsottari minus Moola correction = 17-12 = 5

years

Dear Guruji,

 

I got confusing replies for my query in the list and reference to

known documentations did not help. Hence, this request to you.

 

If Mercury is exalted in Virgo in lagna, then in Moola dasa

calculation should we take its period as 17 years full or 17-1=16

years or 17-12=5 years ?
