If either of them is afflicted, heart problems may arise. The Deity to be worshipped is Krishna I suppose. Q2. The rpotector of Dharma is Rama I think. The Mantra oin the Bhagavad-gita is Om Tat Sat. Om is the Supreme Brahman. Tat menas that the sacrifice is offered to him, without selfish motives by the worshipper. Sat indicates that by such unmotivated worship the Supreme Person and the Worshipper both commune on the absolute eternal platform. Q3. The eastern horizon is where the Sun rises, indicating divine knowledge, thus this would be the proper place to signify the intelligence. Q4. Lagna is infiery Sagittarius, giving a strong body and fiery appearance. The aspects of Sun and Mercury gove strong bones and fine skin respectively. Alagna lord is Jupiter so the beauty is added by him. Navamsa Lagna is in Cancer with Mercury, this rounds up the forms and makes them more delicate. Jupiter/Sun/Mercury in Rasi give tawny/medium complexion. Paaka Lagna being in Libra adds to beauty. Eye probelms are indicated by Moon being afflicted by Rahu and Saturn in 2nd house, although the asepct fo Venus still makes them beautiful. Q5. I don't have with me the Karakatwas of foods, nut BPHS gives tastes. Sun is pungent (Chili, black pepper etc.) It makes people Rajasik. Moon is salty (vegetables, black salt, etc.). Mars is bitter (Neem, Karela etc.) Interestingly this decreases Pitta. Mercury is mixed. Hints at his ability to be influenced. Jupiter is sweet (grains, milk products, etc.) This is very Sattvic. Sanjayji likes sweets as Jupiter is in Hils lagna in Pisces. Venus is aciduous (yogurt, tamarind, etc.) This may also make one Rajasik. Saturn is astringent. Q6. Bronchial diseases relate to Kapha Dosa, indicated by watery signs, especially Cancer being the 4th house of the natural zodiac. An affliction to this sign may result in lung ailment. The fish may relate to the sign Pisces, which makes the Moon very comfortable, and also if its lord Jupiter is in Cancer, he exalts. So maybe Jupiter should be strong and in conjunction with either the Sun or Venus in the week when this remedy should be used. Q7. Verses 9.5-8 in Sharma edition speak about Rasi Dristi and the aspectual diagram. This is mpopularly known as the south indian chart format, and has dual signs in the corners aspecting each other, while cardinal and fixed signs are in between. I have seen that Indian maps also have eastern direction at the top, while northern on the right side. Maybe this is why the vedic chart has the signs clockwise, while the western charts have them anticlockwise. As for the aspects, the principle behind them is described by Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita: Jaatasya hi dhruvo mrtyur dhruvam janma mrtasya ca (death is certain for one who is born and birth is certain for the dead). The cardinal signs are riled by Brahma, who is the creator, indicating birth. The aspect the fixed signs (death or desructive principle ruled by Siva). So one who is born, will surely die. But one who is dead is sure to be born agani, so fixed signs (Siva) aspect the cardinal ones (Brahma). On the other hand, the dual signs represent Lord Visnu and His eternal nature, of which the souls are eternal parts and p[arcels (mamaivamso jeeva-loke jeeva-bhuta sanaatana). So this is the preinciple behind it. The principle behind the Graha Dristi is a bit long, I will explain it later on. Q8. I'm not sure whether these are the verses about birth in light or darkness. Please specify. We might have different editions of BPHS. Q9. A Balarishta combination is insidcated by the Moon and Venus being in Parivartana while Venus conjoins two malefics in a Dusthana. However, by the force of Parivartana, Moon becomes exalted in Rasi, and Venus aspects it. This cancels evils. Q10. The evils are indicated by the 3rd house. Mars and Rahu Vimsottari Dasas were covering the first 15 years of His life. Putana is indicated by Rahu which loses its malefic nature in the divine sign of Cancer, thus although Putana came to breast-feed Him as a mother (Cancer and Venus indicate breasts), He sucked out her life force and deestroyed the effect of poison (Rahu). Bakasura might have been indicated by Mars, as he wanted to injure Krishna by biting him with his beak, But Mars being debilitated, he was also defeated. Maternal uncles are signified by Mercury, which is exalted in the 5th house. It does not look like inimical, unless we consider that he is conjoined by Jupiter, the Badhakesa from the AL. Of course it was Kamsa who sent all these demons. Q11. As the Rajayoga began after killing the maternal uncle, it should be a Viparita Rajayoga, which is formed only by Venus and Mars being conjunct in Cancer. The maternal uncle is indicated by the 2nd house (11th from 4th) and the 3rd is a Maraka sthan for it. Also Mercury is the Sthira Karaka for maternal uncle, and the 3rd from it has Saturn. Saturn is the karaka of muscles and may indicate bondage as the cause of death. Krishna may have had big bodily power indicated by the 7th from Moon. Q12. Indra is indicated by Jupiter in 5th house, where Mercury (Karaka of earth element) is exalted, so is stronger than Jupiter. Thus Krishna overpowered Indra, and Indra surrendered to Him and became His follower (5th house indicates followers). He promises to protect His dependents and is famous a Bhaktavatsala (AL in 5th house). Q13. He teaches surrender to Him as the highest means of liberation (Ketu in 9th house). Actually He is inetersted in the love of His devotees (Moon exalted in 9th frol AL in Venusian sign), but this is His inner self, and is thus not expressed from outside. From outside He exhibits His opulence (AK Sun in Leo in 4th house) and establishes dharma (Sun aspects 9th house). In His previous incarnation He was Rama, so His Atmakaraka is the Sun. In the next incarnation He appears as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who will have the Moon as the Atmakaraka in the Lagna in sign Leo. Thus even Bhagavan has the desire of th soul expressed by the Atmakaraka, and He manifests that poarticualr avatara to fulfill His desire. Q14. Third house is afflicted, so throat should be weak. Actually, as His body is sac-cid-ananda, we might not consider any of His body parts weak. But we might consider the following fact realted in the 3rd and 11th Canto of Srimad Bhagavatam: A hunter shot an arrow at Krishna, because he mistook His lotus foot for a deer's back. The arrow reached His feet, but did not hurt it. The 3rd from AL has Saturn is Scorpio, so Saturn may indicate being hit by something, althoguh not directly an arrow. Plus Saturn indicates the feet. Krishna stayed for 125 years in this world, so Vimsottari is not sufficient to describe His longevity, as its span is only 120 years. Narayana Dasa however goes upto 144 years, and is fit to describe His longevity.
