[Jaya Jagannath] Questions on Narayan and Sudasa Interpretation

Namaste ,

The information on Sudasa and Narayan Dasa brings clarity in understanding the dasa systems and approach.I need a bit more insight into the statement that Narayan Dasa indicates ( governs) the environment and effort.

I (think) I understand the environment part - that Narayan dasa indicates how the environment is presented to you.

[ I also assume that Vimshottari or Ashtottari Dasa shows how the native responds to the influences of the environment]

Rath: Very clear no doubt.

What I am not clear on is the part of about effort. What effort is being considered here? the effort expended by the native?

IF so - does this not show a "two-stoke" dasa , that is how the environment comes to the native and how the native responds?

If so, is this not overlapping on to Vimshottari dasa effects?

Rath: Yes it does overlap, especially in Sudasa as this is also computed with reference to the Moon as Lakshmi or Sri was born with the Moon (study samudra Manthana) and that is also why the Beejakshara for the Moon is Srim. Consider it this way. There is an environment presented (Narayana Dasa) bbefore a native at any point of time where the choises are very limited. Furthermore, the final decision of te native (Vimsottari) will depend on the resources available at hand (Sudasa). His final decision will depend on a host of factors besides just Mana. Spirituality clould also be an important input and for this the Drig Dasa is also important input. Only a great Jyotisha or a Maharishi is capable of summing the effect of all these situational factors, resources, desires of mind and soul and give a perfect answer.

You too can join the ranks of these great Maharishi's by perfect meditation and prayer.

God Bless

JAYA JAGANNATHNA!

Dear Narasimha,

Pranaams.

Lakshmi is the giver of all prosperity. While Narayana governs the environment and effort, Lakshmi governs the prosperity and well-being. As Rajya Lakshmi, she gives power. As Dhana Lakshmi, she gives money. As Arogya Lakshmi, she gives health. As Vidya Lakshmi, she gives learning. And so on. She is the giver of all prosperity.

Thus we can see when Lakshmi's blessings come in a particular matter (in terms of prosperity). Remember that Narayana governs effort and Lakshmi governs prosperity! Both together define what happens to a person!!

What would be the significance of the relationship between the Sudasa Rasi and Narayana Dasa Rasi at a given time in the native's life? Should we expect better Rajayogas arising in a period when the two Rasis conjunct or aspect each other or have Parivartana?
