Dear Beatrice,

I find that you have personally evolved considerably from what you

had written last time. In this case there is no need to tinker with

the work. It is marvellous and speaks volumes about you as a Gyana

yogi..your knowledge has started showing. Good.

As regards the example/analogy of the physical heart and lungs, this

is fine, but as you understand the Spiritual Jyotish principles of

Jaimini this concept will be further refined.

Secondly, add a few lines on the Pancha Tatwa (the five forms of

existence of all matter and NOT five elements and most people in the

west have interpreted the Tatwa). This would be a logical extension

of the explanation of the horses. Have you ever wondered as to why

the planets have different number of horses for pulling their

chariots? What about the color of the horses and their food and

water? Krishna's ability to feed and give them

water even in the middle of a desert or battle field indicates the

power of the Mantra to protect the mind even in times of turmoil, to

nourish it and to guide it to success.

As regards the explanation for the modes of faith, this is the view

of Gyana Yoga no doubt, but when you think a little more... look at

it like this. Shall we say that the faith of a learned Pundit is

qualitatively better then the faith of a poor illiterate barber just

because he is less knowledgable (or ignorant) about the technical

details of the philosophy of Krishna? Are the illiterate Gopi's and

cowherds who danced with Him qualitatively lower

in Bhakti than Bhakta Sudama.. What mistake did Sudama make that they

were free from and how was he saved from this blunder? Thus inspite

of knowing everything about Bhagavan Sudama had Rajasik Bhakti when

he consumed the food for Krishna by his greed. Many years of tapasya

resulted in his coming out clean. Thus knowledge cannot be the

distinguishing benchmark to define the three types of faith. The

PURITY (of the knowledge or emotion caused by little knowledge also)

should be the criteria. When I extoll everybody to have blind faith,

is it Tamasic?? Is their knowledge that they possess

perfect? The answer is that the knowledge of all people in this Kali

Yuga CANNOT be perfect unless it is accompanied by perfect

renunciation. Having realised that we are ignorant about His

(Krishna's) lila in some form or manner, I urge them to take the path

advised by the sages for those in Tamasic modes as this is the only

assured means of success in Krishna Consciousness in this age of Kali

(ignorance).. the shakti as defined by

Parasara is Neela Shakti Who is Radhika and in Her Yoga with Vasudeva

we realise Bhagavan as the layers of blindness are gradually removed.

(See lessons #1 & 2 at Varahamihira).

What you have written will appeal to an enlightened and learned

audience and just add a few lines on the Panch tatwa, the panch

Mahapurusha Yoga and so on..

Best Wishes and may Jagannath guide you pen,

Sanjay Rath

PS After the presentation, do post this to the Varahamihira Class as

well as your views along with mine
