[Jaya Jagannath] Concreation of the fruits of Fasting

Dear Narasimbha and others

I would like to make some comments on this subject.

a)

If fasting once a week it is far better to fast only on water. Then the

stomach gets rest and you increace your fire - becaurce you keep a tapas.

If you eart fruit, dates and so on -it is not a fast.

b) It is easy to keep a fast if you concreate the fruits of your action to

the divine. When you receive the answer from the divine your fasting is

turning into a karma-yoga and you get support from the divine. This

concecreating is of cource of outmost importance when combining your fasting

with mantras.

If we are fasting, receiting mantras etc without

concreation - out of ignorance - you will have to reap your good results

from your action in future lives - a problem if we are thinking of the

possibility of moskha in this life.

c)

It is important only to ear fruits and vegetables which are growing in your

home country. Eating bananes makes you extremely Yin. It is especially bad

in the winter time.

d)

To eat according to your blood type is probably even more important that to

eat according to Ayurveda.. This knowledge is scientificically aproved in

" Eat right for your type " - by J.D. Adamo. If you are eating Oranges for

instance and you are the B-type then this food food creates poisinous

substances in the blood which will turn to ama - dosha.

Best regards

Cristian

let me tell you why.- Ayur Veda is not a frozen medical Science or

pretend to force upon patients ancient principles, but a very dinamic

healing System in constant expantion, Ayur Ved is Both Allopathic

and Homeopathic, we have to know when and how use what. I can

guarantee you that the amount of what we eat is even more important

to consider, than to say yes or not to anything (food) for example if

you condemm any food as forfiden you do a BIG mistake, and let me

tell you why you may be allergic to oranges if you eat one or more ,

but if you eat only one slice or less, you won't have such a negative

reaction , the same has to be apply to any intake of Dravyas( food

or Substances ).

Best wishes

Dear Chaitanya s. das

I agree with you that overeating is very bad for health. I am also convinced

that it is a good idea to use both Ayur Veda and classical Homeopathy

discovered by Hahneman. Still I would consider the question of bloodtype

very essential in a diet as the blood is the first dhatu to receive the

food substances. Any experience with that ?

Kind regards

Dear chaitanya S. das

Ayurveda is a beyond doubt a very usefull science. I use the principles

myself in daily life. Often it is nessesary to combine several branced of

knowledge to get succes in a field.

I believe it is OK to write a little bit on this subject as there are

researches going on about astrology and the blood type.

40 years research has shown that a chemical reaction occurs between your

bollo and the foods that you eat. The is a factor called lectins which have

aggutinating properties that affect your blood. Here is an example from the

book mentioned earlier page 23

Let us say a Type A ( as most Indian people) person eats a plate of lima

beans. The lima beans are digested in the stomach through the process of

acid hydrolysis. However, the lectin protein is resistant to acid

hydrolysis. It does not get digested, but stays intact. It may interact

directly with lhe lining of the stomach or intestinal tract, or it may

getabsorbed into your bloodstreem along with the digested lima been

nutrients. Different lectins target different organs and body systems.

Once the intact lectin protein settles someplace in your body, it litterally

has a magnetic effeft on the cells in that region. It clumps the celle

together and they ar targeted for destruction, as if they fereigh invaders.

This clumping can cause irritable bowel syndrome in theintestines or

cirrhosis in theliver, or block the flow of blood through the kidneys- to

name just a few of the effects.

The is also a relationship between certain types and deseases.

Key words for the 4 types

Type 0:

Difficult not to eat meat

Cut out wheat and be carefull with other grains

Needs vigorous exercise

Type A:

You should be a vegetarian

Do yoga and meditate

Type B:

Varied died is good. The only blood type that does wlll wiht dairy products.

Type

A micture of A and B

Kind Regards

Critian

All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga

Dear Cristian:

Thank you for supply such a valuable information, I Hope to squeeze

some time to research into the blood types, The important thing to

remember is whatever attempt we do to maintain the physical body

healthy and works is fine but , without creating 'negative' Karma ,

and also has to be in connection with 'the goal of life' or

attain Krishna Consciussnes or ( God realization) the body will have

to die one day , and then ? . is there any URL links to this

subject ( body types) ? please e:mail it to me.

best wishes Hare Ram Krishna
