Pranaam Narasimha and Brendan,

pmn> Certainly Vahe has a strong Kapha constitution as you wrote.

Yes, I have a big body and thick bones

pmn> Though lagna and paka lagna show the inherent constitution

pmn> (prakriti), dusthanas are important in showing susceptibilities

pmn> and disturbances (vikriti). Rahu in 6th in a fiery sign can show

pmn> pitta troubles. In D-6, Rahu is in Virgo and that suggests

pmn> something in liver. It will be good to take some herbs to

pmn> strengthen the liver.

I actually never had any liver problems so far. Maybe they may come

over later?

pmn> If the vomiting followed a strong feeling of hunger, it was due

pmn> to pitta secretions. If the vomiting followed a feeling of being

pmn> full and bloated and aruchi (not feeling like eating), it was due

pmn> to kapha accumulation.

In my case, I had the desire to eat after vomiting and, with some food

taken, it soothed a lot. Do you mean that ginger and black pepper

would further aggravate this? I tried those today, and ginger seems to

have further aggravated my hunger

pmn> In the case of pitta induced vomiting, taking pomegranate juice

pmn> or pineapple juice with cardamom seeds (elachi) can be helpful

pmn> during the fasting. Chewing a couple of cardamom seeds or cumene

pmn> seeds and taking a little lemon juice can also soothe the pitta.

pmn> Juice of cilantro leaves (coriander leaves) with a little lemon

pmn> juice and cumene seeds can also give relief if taken in the

pmn> morning.

I will give those a try next Saturday. I am a little confused now as I

cannot determine whether I need to passify my Pitta, or Kapha first...

Vahe
