Ramayana & Mahabharata: Generally go to ISKCON and ask the Maharaj out there. Also read these books by Dr Radhakrishnan the ex-President of India and among the greatest philosophers of modern India. Surya Siddhanta mentioned is good. Guest guest Posted February 22, 2001 Report Share Posted February 22, 2001 I have read the books, Indian Philosophy by Dr. Radhakrishnan and some part of " The wonder that was India " by Basham. Both the books are very lucid and concise. They give a holistic view of the subject in short. If you want to go for details then " Vedas " (I don't remember the exact title of the books) by Max Muller would be the best. In indian Philosophy, I would also suggest Indian Philosophy by Krishnananda (Divine Life Society). This book is easier to understand than Dr. Radhakrisna's one.
