Guest guest
Dear Dhira Krishna Dasa, I said this many times before: Moon in JHL can be wrong by upto 2 arc-min. But the error in other planets can only be a few arc-seconds. For this data, Moon is at 28 Le 29' 44 " (using very accurate software). So he is in Ge in D-20. This is a few arc-seconds from vimsamsa border between Ge and Cn. " Jagannatha Hora Lite " gives Moon at 28 Le 30 and gives him in Cn in D-20 (instead of Ge). JHL has a small error and subtracting a minute from the birthtime will move Moon to Ge in D-20 (of course, this moves lagna from Ge to Ta and I can see why you had to add 8-10 minutes to get Moon in a trine in D-20. That's a different issue). May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha > Om Krsna Guru. Jaya Jagannath! > > Dear Narasimha, > > As you said that JHL is not accurate for very old dates, I found it is not > 100% accurate also for 1972. However, > using other software I found the Moon switches to a sign earlier to fall in > D-20 lagna just half a minute earlier than the time given. With JHL D-20 > lagna changes earlier than the Moon, so that they never fall together.
