Guest guest
Hello All: I read this verse on an vedic astrology blog, which reads thus: kr.tetvAdhAna lagnaM tu tretAyAm puMsavanam tathA dvrApare SIrShodayam syAt kalau bhUpatanam smr.tam And it apparently translates into (as per the blogger): -------------------- The ascendant must be taken from AdhAna lagna (= the time of conception) in kr.ta, puMsavana (= the time of medicating the mother to get a male issue) in tretA, SIrShodaya (= the time of birth when the head comes out of womb) in dvApara and bhUpatana (= the first ground touch of the baby) in kali yuga! Of course there is another version stating that it is jalodaya(= placental breach) in tretA but for the present kaliyuga, it quotes the same bhUpatana. --------------------- Now I now that the Time of Birth is a highly disputed topic among vedic astrologers, and I have no desire to start another argument on this message board; all I'm asking for is whether anyone can validate such a verse exists in any classical text? PS> For what it is worth, the blog I'm referring to is http://jyotishavedika.blogspot.com/index.html
