Guest guest
Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Vijay, Oh dear, I don't why you are asking me that. But I consider it auspicious that you ask this on Thakur's tithi puja day. There are innumerable Kali mantras, of which the most well known is the 22 akshara Dakshina Kali mantra. Mantras which are of 22 aksharas are said to be spiritually extremely potent as they are moksha granting mantras. Like the Baais Pahuncha or the 22 steps inside the Jagannath Temple. I am writing down a few common, 'safe', prasiddha Kali mantras. Meanwhile I am attaching a file with some Bhadrakali mantras from the Brahma Vaivarta Purana in UR Palladio Font and Sanskrit 99. 1. Krim (the bija mantra of Kali and extremely powerful. Can be chanted safely by anyone) 2. Om krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim dakshine kalike krim krim hum hum hrim hrim svaha (22 akshara Dakshina Kali mantra) 3. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Sarbani, can we chant no.2 mantra without Om, in such case it will have 21 aksara. Guest guest
Dear Mrs Sarbani, Thanks for the info on Goddess Kalika mantras. I had asked you because your hold on the subject of mantras. Though, asked long ago, it appered on the list on Shri Thakur's Tithi Pooja day, which certainly is an auspicious omen. Recently I read Devi Bhagwat and somehow, I am attached to Goddess Kalika, that was my inner driving force to ask you the mantras for Her. Thanks for your efforts and time. Guest guest
Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Bojan, I see from where your logic is coming. But try to look at it another way. When you do such a high level mantra, like the 22 akshara Dakshina Kalika, or the 24 akshara Gayatri, or the ashtakshari Narayana or the dwadasakshari Vasudeva mantra, you are not merely activating certainly bhavas or planets in your chart; you are catapulting your spiritual energy in a totally different orbit, which will open up things inside you; your chakras, your intellect, your higher intuitive powers and eventually...and hopefully...you heart chakra. These mantras affect your life in every way, including the 9th bhava karakatwas like dharma, which is just a small aspect. These also open up doors to material benefits as all aspects of your life become smooth of the blessings of the devata is bestowed upon you. But therein lies the catch. Its not so easy to get that blessing. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Sarbani, I`m a bit confused now about Daksina Kali mantra. Doesn`t it supose to have 22 aksharas without om (krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim dakshine kalike krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim svaha)? As for the effects of the mantra (on the high spiritual level), i couldn`t agree more, though we can say that this Kali mantra brings the energy of mantra to the mental plane (12+10)i.e. to the 10th house, being the Mahavidya of Saturn it leads to complete dettachment, perfect Karma Yogi? Sincerely, Tijana sohamsa , " Sarbani Sarkar Rath " <sarbani wrote: > > Shri Brahmadaru Smarami > > Dear Vijay, > > Oh dear, I don't why you are asking me that. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Tijana you are right for the mantra because there is missed one bija Krim. As per Vedic Remedies there is this mala mantra with 3 Krim bijas from both sides and also variation of this mantra - to 21 aksara gyana mantra for worshiping Dakshina Kali for obtaining all the knowledge and siddhis, but in transliteration there is mistake, one Krim bija is missed. So if you read mantra in sanskrit there you can see three times Krim. I am not sure if this will be visible...but here is it: ! h`IM h`IM huM huM k`IM k`IM k`IM dxaINao kailako k`IM k`IM k`IM huM huM h`IM h`IM. Om Hrim Hrim Hum Hum Krim Krim Krim Dakshina Kalike kreem Kreem Hum Hum Hrim Hrim. My another question for Sarbani is : Should we advice first mala mantra and then gyana (depending on native of course), or both can be adviced simultaniously? Guest guest
Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Bojan and Tijana, I am glad that you have raised these questions as it is apparent there are some confusions in your minds. Tijana, you are right in that 22 aksharas are formed without counting the om. We say the Om silently in our minds. Please read my earlier mail to Bojan. I think that is the point all of you are missing or not comprehending, I don't know which. When you stop looking at the 22 aksharas as the 10th house, and instead look at it as the 22 steps which lead you to the ultimate gyana, you will begin to realise what this mantra is all about. When you understand the four variations to the gayatri chhanda, it will become all the more clearer. This mantra is all about gyana; that very rare gyana which will ultimately give you bliss and liberate you. In the process, it will give you a lot of other things as well. With such mantrs you DO NOT add and subtract bijas. They are complete by themselves. The 21 akshara mantra which Bojan mentions from VRA is a different mantra and is not formed by adding or subtracting bijas to the 22 akshara one. It just LOOKS similar. The first set of bijas hrim hrim hum hum krim krim krim is different. The second set of bijas are similar. The all important svaha shakti is not present in this mantra. This is a different mantra while the 22 akshara mantra is complete by itself. If it is gyana that you are looking for, then by all means chant the 22 akshara mantra and you will get the complete gyana of Dakshinamurti. No other mantra of Kali can give such high gyana. I would surely advise this highest of mantras for worshipping Kali, for not only gyana but for all things in life. There are other mantras to which we add and subtract bijas; but we do not do that with certain highly empowered mantras. The 21 akshara mantra is a totally different genre of mantra for siddha vidya. As Sanjayji reminds all the time VRA was a book written for the masses; it does not contain all these detailed explanations. I hope slowly these confusions will dispel. Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Sarbani, One humble confusion has arisen, may be due to my ignorance, on your statement to Tijana : you are right in that 22 aksharas are formed without counting the Om. The mantra you gave was : Om krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim dakshine kalike krim krim hum hum hrim hrim svaha (22 akshara Dakshina Kali mantra). This has 22 aksharas counted with Om. The mantra which Tijana is suggesting is : (Om) krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim dakshine kalike krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim svaha . This has 22 akshara without Om. Now, which one is right to be chanted for higher knowledge ? Thanks, Vijay Kumar - Sarbani Sarkar Rath sohamsa Tuesday, February 20, 2007 4:17 PM RE: Re: Kali puja Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Bojan and Tijana, I am glad that you have raised these questions as it is apparent there are some confusions in your minds. Guest guest
Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Vijay, Thanking you for pointing this out to me. I had not even noticed it. That was a typo on my part. The mantra is (om) krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim dakshine kalike krim krim hum hum hrim hrim. You need not say the om. Saying it silently is optional. As there is confusion I wrote it in the bracket. Best Regards, Sarbani Sarkar Rath http://sarbani.com Vijay Kumar [v_kumar] Tuesday, February 20, 2007 4:47 PMsohamsa Subject: Re: Re: Kali puja Dear Mrs. Guest guest
Dear Mrs Sarbani, Thanks your clarification. Hence the mantra for Goddess Kalike is : (Om) krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim dakshine kalike krim krim hum hum hrim hrim svaha. Would it not be too much, If I look forward to ask for Dhyana, Nyasa, no of chants every day, total no of chants, when to start-day or night, in shukla or krishna paksha, any important tithi to observe to start. Kindly pardon for my ignorance. Guest guest
Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Vijay, I am inundated with work at this moment so I cannot type out the nyasas and dhyana for you. You can look them up from Mantra Maharnava. An ideal day to start is Amavasya. Tuesdays and Saturdays are her days. Choose the tithi over the vara in this case. When in doubt, do your round of 108. But I will write a few words on her as you requested earlier the moment I get some breathing time. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Sarbani I have question again because it is not clear enough. The last mail from Vijay is 22 aksara with Om. But From your mail: Dear Vijay, > > Thanking you for pointing this out to me. I had not > even noticed it. That > was a typo on my part. The mantra is (om) krim krim > krim hum hum hrim hrim > dakshine kalike krim krim hum hum hrim hrim. You > need not say the om. There is not swaha here. Is that typo? And I am interested why there is not same number of aksaras from both sides, and threee times Krim bija from both sides? Maybe I am quastioning too much, but in VRA is also typo with this Krim aksara, so in sanskrit there is 3 times Krim and in transl only two times. The mantra is the same in VRA the bijas and thier place is the same just here is Om at the beginning, that is differnent. Thanks in advance, Bojan Hari Om Tat Sat --- Sarbani Sarkar Rath <sarbani wrote: > Shri Brahmadaru Smarami > > Dear Vijay, > > I am inundated with work at this moment so I cannot > type out the nyasas and > dhyana for you. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Sarbani, After all thinking i`m still puzzeled on the 10th bhava... Annihilation of karma can be done only through Vishnu that is why 22 aksharas for the 22 incarnations? Here also the answer on why one can not perceive (better realize) Jagannath without worshiping of Mother is hiding (Krishna-Kali)...Dakshina Kali is the highest satva, but even satva must be transcended. Also there can be no form, so it should be 12th bhava. That`s why Sri Thakur mentaly had to deppart from the form of His beloved Mother. The only logic thing i have in mind is this mentaly prefixing and also sufixing the om to the mantra. It is actually chanted in that way and these two om make the mantra corresponding with the 12th bhava? Sincerely, Tijana sohamsa , " Sarbani Sarkar Rath " <sarbani wrote: > > Shri Brahmadaru Smarami > > Dear Tijana, > > As students of mantra shastra, the question naturally arises as to why such > a powerful mantra, the bestower of para vidya, the highest gyana, is > associated with the 10th house of the horoscope. Guest guest
!Om Gurave Namah! Respected Sarbani ji, The third Kali mantra you have given: "Om hrim shrim klim parameswari kalike svaha" I have read in some places "klim" replaced by "kreem". So the mantra reads as: "Om hrim shrim kreem parameswari kalike svaha" Are both mantras correct? Let me know when you get a moment. Warm regards, Pranav Sarbani Sarkar Rath <sarbani wrote: Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Vijay, Oh dear, I don't why you are asking me that. Om hrim shrim klim parameswari kalike svaha Best Regards, Sarbani Sarkar Rath http://sarbani.com Vijay Kumar [v_kumar (AT) cdotb (DOT) ernet.in] Wednesday, February 14, 2007 12:09 PMsohamsa Subject: Kali puja Dear Mrs. Sarbani, If time permits, may I request to kindly guide some simple Goddess Kalika Mantras which people may chant. Thanks Vijay Kumar
