Guest guest
Dear Vistiji, Again Heartiest regards for explanation. Best Wishes Vijay Goel Jaipur Posted by: "Visti Larsen" visti in_joy_i_scream Mon Feb 5, 2007 2:27 am (PST) ??? ??? ??????Dear Vijay Goel, NamaskarI hereby produce an excerpt from an upcoming publication:*Vrddha Upadesa*The Vrddhas, or old wise men teach a special reckoning for the eighth lord. For movable and dual signs treat the eighth lord as the longevity indicator. However, if the lagna is an even sign treat the sixth lord as the longevity indicator. For fixed signs treat the twelfth lord as the longevity indicator, unless the lagna is even then treat the second lord as the longevity indicator.Table 4: Vrddhas eighth lord reckonerRasi Normal reckoning Vrddhas adviceAries Scorpio Scorpio*Taurus Sagittarius GeminiGemini Capricorn CapricornCancer Aquarius SagittariusLeo Pisces CancerVirgo Aries AquariusLibra Taurus Taurus*Scorpio Gemini SagittariusSag Cancer CancerCap Leo GeminiAqua Virgo CapricornPisces Libra Leo* In case of Aries and Libra lagna a problem occurs, namely that the lagna and eighth houses are lorded by the same planet. In such cases treat the eighth lordship from the eighth lord as the longevity indicator.Example: For Aries lagna Mars is lord of the lagna and eighth houses; hence, treat the eighth house and lord from Mars as the contributor to the longevity. If in such a case Mars is in Pisces then Leo and the Sun becomes the contributor to the longevity. However, if Mars is placed in Aries, thus causing the longevity contributor to be Scorpio and its lord Mars then treat the eighth house from Scorpio itself as the longevity contributor, namely Sagittarius and its lord Jupiter.Yours sincerely,-- Visti Larsenemail: visti (AT) srigaruda (DOT) com <visti (AT) srigaruda (DOT) com>For consultations, free mp3's and articles visit: http://srigaruda.com <http://srigaruda.com>Vijay Goel wrote:>> Dear Vistiji, Rafalji,> Namaskar.> > In book Upadesa Sutra by Shri Sanjay Rath Chapter II Quarter I page > 142, Table 2.1 is given for eight house reckoner for calculation of > ayur dasas.> Asc. Guest guest
Hare Ram Krisna Dear Visti, This is not clear to me, please clarify. If we take the 8 th lordship as longevity reckoner in Aries Lagna with Mars in Aries, it comes to Scorpio itself. Hence we take eighth lord from Scorpio which is Mercury lord of Gemini( 8th from Scorpio) but you mention Jupiter, lord of Sagittarius? If Mars is in Pisces in Aries Lagna, 8 th from Mars will be Taurus, yet you mention Leo?? Thanks as always for your guidance. Guest guest
हरे राम कृष्ण॥ Dear Sharat, Namaskar See that the vrddha karika's advise for 8th sign from Scorpio is Sagittarius. Similarly the advise for Pisces is to take Leo (6th sign). Read it again thoroughly and you will understanding how it works.
