Eight house Reckoner-- Ayur dasa calculation

In book Upadesa Sutra by Shri Sanjay Rath Chapter II Quarter I page 142, Table 2.1 is given for eight house reckoner for calculation of ayur dasas.

Asc. Eight house

1(aries) 8*(scorpio)

This principle is used in COVA in example 9 of indira gandhi(cancer lagna) 8th lord is taken is jupiter, i think as per above table 2.1 (Vriddha Karika Method as mentioned). similarly Ex 10 meen lagna sun as 8L.

 

 

Pl. explain the table 2.1 or Vriddha karika method as mentioned in both books.

 

This is also not cleared in the lecture given by Vistiji in Longetivity estimation (060513).
