Guest guest
|om|Dear Anurag, Ramesh Gangaramani, Ravi Nair, I-Akash, namasteThank you for your attempts on the quiz I had posed in continuation of the quiz posed by Anurag on saptamsa. Yes, the coordinates of Salem as mentioned by some of you are correct and you should get Aries vargottama lagna. I had disclosed the specific fact that the native has two children. It is very interesting to note that all of you converged on the sequence of children being G-B (G for girl, B for boy). Some of you even went on to look at the third child with varying degrees of analysis. Saptamsa lagna was Mesha yet Ramesh seemed to have got Meena lagna (even sign)...dont know what caused this but quite admissible considering that lagna is about 2 degrees Mesha which means an error of 8 mins in birth time can cause a change in lagna. Ramesh also jumped from the 9th house to the 5th house without considering the 7th house as per mandooka gati. The actual sequence of children is B-B. Is this sequence better explained by considering Meena saptamsa lagna?best regardsHari

Guest guest
[ Hare Rama Krsna ]Dear Hari,Pisces Lagna would definately give two boys. As Lagna is an even sign the ninth house shows the first pregnancy. The Lord Ketu is debilitated in Gemini which would give a girl if not for the parivartana with Mercury changing the sex to male. Next pregnancy is from the 7th house. Mercury conjoined Mars in its own sign would also give a boy. But then why would there not be another child after this one? Is Jupiter in MKS enough to stop the third child from coming? After reading Anurag Sharma's post it seemed like the possibility of Aries Lagna was slim since the conditions for children are so bad. It would be interesting to know whether they suffered from ill health as that might be a factor lending itself to Aries being the Lagna.Respectfully,Michal[ Om Namo Narayanaya ]Jyotisa Shisya <achyutagaddisohamsa Sent: Wednesday, January 24, 2007 3:20:21 AM New Saptamsha Quiz - Answer |om|Dear Anurag, Ramesh Gangaramani, Ravi Nair, I-Akash, namasteThank you for your attempts on the quiz I had posed in continuation of the quiz posed by Anurag on saptamsa. Guest guest
|om| Dear Michal, namaste 1. Why have you considered Ketu as the lord and not Mars? 2. Ketu is a female planet (per COVA). So why would parivartana between Mercury (male) and Ketu (female) give a boy here? Thanks for your views. best regards Hari On 1/23/07, Michal Dziwulski <nearmichal wrote: [ Hare Rama Krsna ]Dear Hari,Pisces Lagna would definately give two boys. Guest guest
[ Hare Rama Krsna ]Dear Hari,1. For Scorpio and Aquarius when one of the lords is in the sign, the other Lord is to be taken. In this case Mars is in Scorpio, so we take Ketu as the lord of the sign.2. Ketu indicates a female child, and even more so here as it is debilitated. However since it is in parivartana with Mercury, in the house which governs the first child, then the female child we are expecting will be reversed and become a boy.Respectfully,Michal[ Om Namo Narayanaya ]----- Original Message ----Jyotisa Shisya <achyutagaddisohamsa Sent: Friday, January 26, 2007 5:34:08 PMRe: New Saptamsha Quiz - Answer |om| Dear Michal, namaste 1. Guest guest
[ Hare Rama Krsna ]Dear Hari,Parivartana is the most intimate of sambandha, such that the Graha will exchange indications. So, if planet A indicates a boy and planet B indicates a girl, and they are in parivartana, then due to the exchange planet A will indicate a girl and planet B a boy. This is as long as they are directly involved with the house in question (house indicating the child).I have not heard of retrogression causing a reversal except in states of exaltation and debilitation. Guest guest
| om gurave namah |Dear Michal and Hari Parivartana is a Yoga, one of the four primary SAMBANDHA while retrogression is a GATI. Gati changes all the time, Sambandha does not. If we take retrogression as a factor for change of sex from boy to girl, then every six odd months the gati will change, and a boy will become a girl and back to boy at least twice a year!!! Guest guest
|om|Dear Sanjay, pranaams > Parivartana is a Yoga, one of the four primary SAMBANDHA while >retrogression is a GATI. Gati changes all the time, Sambandha does not. >If we take retrogression as a factor for change of sex from boy to girl, then >every six odd months the gati will change, and a boy will become a girl and >back to boy at least twice a year!!!That is definitely not possible in the species called homo sapiens but this does exist in some species of fish. And recently some species have been discovered in which this sex change is a regular phenomenon. best regardsHariSex Reversal in Fish by Shannon K. McWeeney Always the bridesmaid, never the bride? Why not be the groom? With certain species of fish, this is an option. Fish that can alter their sex are known as successive hermaphrodites. Normally the sex reversal occurs only once. For example, a sexually mature female reproduces and then becomes a male. The ovaries shrink, the fish develops testes, and male hormones are released. These physiological changes also alter the animal's behavior. These new males become aggressive, defend territory, and court females. Normally, sex reversal occurs in response to changes in the environment. For example, in a species of coral reef fish, Labroides dimidiatus , the basic social group is a dominant male with three to six females living in his territory. If the dominant male dies, within days one of the female fish will become male to take his place. It is only when the male is absent that the sex change can occur. This suppression of sex reversal is critical for maintaining the social structure of the group. In other species, sex reversal may occur in response to a skewed sex ratio in the group. If there are more females than males, a female may change sex to increase its chance of mating. Sex reversal allows fish to adapt to changes in their social environment. Sexual flexibility increases reproductive fitness and genetic diversity in these populations. ReferencesAlder, T. 1995. Fishy sex: Uncovering the wild ways of fish.
