Guest guest
Dear Visti, just thought would share this small experience with you. In my case, with Taurus ascendant, Saturn, the ninth and 10 lord is in 11th. I am confining my discussion only to gemstone. Saturn is not conjunct with any other planet. I thought Blue Sapphire would suit me. I also got it corsschecked with Ms. Swee, and she also corroborated this fact. About two months before, I got a beautiful stone Blue Sapphire from Ms Swee's contact in the US. The stone was of such a high quality that I can't even describe it. However, within two hours of wearing it, I started feeling very misreable. There was a very good job offer in the offing. I had cleared all the interviews and the employer had told me to standby for the offer letter. You may find it hard to believe it, within three hours of wearing the stone, I got a telephone call from my prospective employer informing that for the time being they have shelved off the decision to hire for the said position. Usually, me and wife donot have even an argument. That evening, I had a fierece argument with my wife. I was so petrified that I removed the stone. It was as if that Saturn was placed malefic in my chart and I further strengthened it by wearing Blue Sapphire. I just don't get this... This time there was no problem with the quality of the stone. And my date of birth is recorded very very accurately (as accurately as it is humanly possible). I just don't understand this man!!!! The only plausible explanation is that we may come out with all sorts of theories, but if there is no divine will, nothing works...and I say this with lot of conviction! Thanks for your time and space.... Guest guest
Dear Soulsadhak and Manoj, I too was totally befuddled when I saw Manoj's chart. His 11th house actually has a whopping 43 points in ashtakavarga. So his Saturn is actually 6 bindus in a 43 point house which is simply outstanding and rare. Saturn is unaspected, except Rasi dristi by Jupiter, and is DK (Darakaraka) by Chara karakatwa. The way I explain it (rationalize?) in my mind, I may be wrong, is that Manoj's dharma has to be very strong. And that is exactly what he said (he is vegetarian, never misses his prayers, never has arguments with spouse etc etc). My guess is that when such a strong Saturn is present, it does not actually deny the fruit of the house it rules, but makes sure the fruits are reaped in true Saturnian fashion i.e. persistence, austerity, penance etc. Gemstones would be something like a sudden and quick fix, not in line with Saturn's nature.. It would be interesting to know more about Manoj's dad/relationship with dad? I would guess he would be a very independent and successful man. Anyway, thats just my 2c view, not supported by classics, just by seeing a few charts here and there.. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Visti, Namaste Some quick observations: Chart 1: Set to LMT for local timings. Things cannot fall apart at the onset of Saturn. Saturn gives its fullest results in the third drekkana and never at the onset. Note Jupiter in October 1987 was transiting in the 8th house and Rahu was on the ascendant with Gulika and GL – the most malefic as you say and exalted to do its most malefic work on his image. The cure for badhakesh Saturn in the 9th as we know is to offer prayers. But Sun, the natural atma who is most likely to show natural inclination towards bhakti, is debilitated and conjoins his lagna lord, hence it is his inherent nature. Chart 2: [This should preferably be unconjoined, and rightly so the conjunction of seventh lord Saturn led to an unfortunate first marriage, and also later a lot of jealousy surrounding him in his job, due to Saturn lording the sixth and aspecting the tenth.] Aspect on 10th is incorrect. He has co-lords for the 7th house Saturn and Rahu – jealousy and failed marriage; an ego trip from Rahu, no less.. In this case, Jupiter, lord of HL and Moon, both in dual signs and Jupiter’s aspect on the lagna lord itself to bring RY. So what’s with the non prescription of YS? You will see why in the following paragraphs. You may believe what you want. When Saturn associates with the ninth housepeople begin loosing faith in mantras, remedies, etc. Even when Saturn lords the same. For this reason i NEVER advise a blue sapphire for a Taurus lagna UNLESS Saturn is placed in a dusthana like the twelfth house. In the latter cases Vipareet Raja Yoga occurs instead. Example 1: Male born November 12th, 1934 at 18:19 (85e50: 20n30, 5:30 East of GMT) The native has Taurus Lagna with Saturn in the ninth house. It is joined Moon and Saturn and placed in the eleventh house from Arudha lagna. He led a successful career in mining steel: mining is rahu and steel/irons is saturn whilst Moon joined them also shows some gemstones may have been there. Some deem Rahu as the most malefic, and thus Rahu will give results of the Moon and vice versa. So Saturn will give its own results. When Saturn Mahadasa arrived in 1987 the persons career fell apart and the family was overwhelmed by courtcases. The native lost his home, his livelihood and finally most of his wealth due to this. On top of this he blames all remedies for not working, yet refuses to take advise when given to him. So, is Saturn auspicious in ninth? No! The same applies to Leo lagna, where Mars being a malefic can turn very auspicious if placed in the twelfth house. An example is given. Example 2: Male born April 21st, 1948 at 14:01 (34e48: 32n10, 2hrs East of GMT). This person has Leo lagna and Mars in the twelfth house debilitated. Most would deem this as highly inauspicious, but this native has had ALL his major rajayoga abroad. This should preferably be unconjoined, and rightly so the conjunction of seventh lord Saturn led to an unfortunate first marriage, and also later a lot of jealousy surrounding him in his job, due to Saturn lording the sixth and aspecting the tenth. Mars and Saturn are joined, and thus Saturn will give the results of Mars during his Dasa. During Saturn dasa he had his highest level of Raja yoga in Israel and later in Finland, but the jealousy also followed and he had to leave both jobs after his boss had put him in a problematic situation. Saturn aspects the tenth house, and he found himself in a problematic situation after his job changes. He has not followed much of the vedic remedies given to him, yet he has his own beliefs in this regard. A useful remedy is to wear a blue sapphire on the left hand ring finger to remedy this. These are just two examples. I hope this helps to understand your situation better. I recommend listening to the Atri class mp3 regarding the ninth house to learn more. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Dear Vistiji and Sweeji, 1. Would ever we look into conjunctions in the varga charts for understanding the dasha and prescribing gemstones. The role reversal , will it always be seen from rashi charts? Do we ever see star lords ? Could u highlight for my coming vimshottri dasha, mercury -saturn dasha . My mercury is conjoined mars. and saturn conjoined rahu.i am virgo lagna. so would this mean i wil be essentially looking at mercury ( mars)-saturn(rahu)? Altough in my chart i should be seeing dwi-saptati , but for better understanding i ask this. To echo what Sharat says, the only doubt that remains is the following case (of which Sharat's case is one example, my case is another and I'm sure many other people have very similar cases, so your one reply would probably help several people): 1) If a graha 1 in House A is in parivartana with graha 2 in House B, and simultaneously in House A there are graha 3 and graha 4, then which of the following is true: Possibility 1 (Apply all rules only ONCE per graha in ORDER): Due to being the most important rule, parivartana causes graha 1 and graha 2 to exchange results. Graha 3 and graha 4 exchange results. Possibility 2: (Apply all rules REPEATEDLY and in ORDER) Parivartana causes graha 1 and graha 2 to exchange results. However graha 1 may also end up exchanging results with graha 3 due to secondary yuti principle. So, graha 2 gives the results of graha 1. Graha 3 gives the results of graha 2 (because it is taking up graha 1's after-parivartana role). Graha 1 gives the results of graha 3 (because it is taking up graha 3's role). Graha 4 gives its own results. There are more possibilities, but the above 2 feel like the most realistic ones. The question is, which one if any is correct? Thank you very much, Sundeep Cheap Talk? Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Svati, Namaskar We do see lordship, conjunctions, placement, etc in the varga charts, but the rasi chart holds the highest importance in this regard as it affects us here and now. For example, the wearing of a gemstone indicated by the second lord in the Somannath Drekkana can completely subdue the persons sexual drive, and in a marriage this can turn problematic if such a gemstone is prescribed. In your chart Mercury dasa will act like Mars dasa. However, regarding antaradasa i am in two minds due to some examples i was shown. I will keep this to myself for now. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृष्ण॥ Dear Manoj, Namaskar After reading your statement below, I inferred that you must have Chandra in dusthana (karaka saturn). Rightly so you have Moon in the sixth house, whilst Shani has graha dristi on the lagna. This forms a Brahmana Yoga, and hence your disposition. Your one of the lucky ones who has his head on straight. But, that lagna doesn't look so easy... Being that fifth lord is joined all these planets, your career opportunities may come in 'jerks' or may leave as fast as they came. This is in the lagna and in a curse, hence, the primary remedy is to recite the Gayatri Mantra, which you are doing regularly. But, you need a little more for that fifth lord. Rahu is the strongest planet joining the fifth lord Budha, and being the atmakaraka requires you to worship Shiva in a Nageshvara roopa. I'm sure you know the mantra, and you can do it instead of the normal shadakshari mantra. This will also make it much easier to 'swallow' the bitterness (Mars-Sun-Rahu) that comes with your career advances, or the lack of the same. I hope this helps. I AM INCLINED TO BELIEVE THIS EXPLANATION. I CAN TELL YOU ONE FACT THOUGH: eVERY ASTROLOGER ON THIS PLANET HAD TOLD ME THAT MY SATURN IS VERY GOOD AND IT IS LIKELY TO GIVE SOME GOOD RESULTS. BUT AS YOU HAVE POINTED OUT NOW, SINCE IT IS THE LORD OF THE NINTH HOUSE, PERHAPS THAT IS WHY IT IS MALEFIC FOR ME . ONE THING HOWEVER IS NOT TRUE. I HAVE NEVER LOST FAITH IN REMEDIES. IN FACT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ASTROLOGICAL REASONS COULD BE ATTRIBUTED TO THIS FACT, I VERY RARELY MISS MY MORNING PRAYERS. I REGULARLY DO MAHAMRTUNJAY MANTRA AND HANUMAN CHALISA WITHOUT FAIL EVERYDAY. ACTUALLY SPEAKING, WHEN I STARTED REALISING THAT NO GEMSTONE IS LIKELY TO SUIT ME FOR ENHANCING MY CAREER, I STARTED RELYING MORE ON MY PRAYERS. I THINK THAT I AM VERY VERY SPRITUALLY INCLINED. COMING FROM ORTHODOX BRAHMIN FAMILY, I WAS INCULCATED THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYERS RIGHT FROM MY CHILDHOOD. IT IS BECAUSE THAT I BELIEVE THAT BY ADOPTING A CERTAIN CONDUCT, YOU CAN REDUCE THE MALEFIC EFFECTS OF A PLANET, I NEVER ATE NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD IN MY WHOLE LIFE EVEN AFTER COMING TO NORTH AMERICA. I WAS SIMPLY TOO AFRAID THAT I WOULD BE TURNING SATURN INTO MORE MALEFIC IF I ATE NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD. THE POINT I AM TRYING TO DRIVE HOME IS THAT I HAVE NEVER LOST FAITH IN REMEDIES. TILL THIS POINT, I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY SATURN HAS TURNED MALEFIC FOR ME WHEN GOING BY EVERY ASTROLOGY DOCTRINE, IT SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME GOOD SUCCESS. BUT AFTER LOOKING AT YOUR POST, I AM MORE THAN CONVINCED THAT SATURN ACTUALLY WAS MALEFIC IN MY CASE CONTRARY TO EVERYBODY'S BELIEF. SO THAT LEAVES NOTHING IN MY CHART :0 STILL I MANAGED TO SURVIVE NOTWITHSTANDING THE ROLLER COASTER RIDE THAT MY LIFE HAS BEEN. THANK HEAVENS SATURN MAHADASHA IS OVER FOR ME. THERE ARE SOME MEDIOCRE MAHADASHAS COMING MY WAY NOW. SINCE THE ADVENT OF MERCURY MAHADASHA, LIFE IS NOT BADGERING ME. THOUGH EKING OUT A LIVELIHOOD IS STILL A BIG PROBLEM... Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Swati, Namaste Don’t forget to look at a planet in mitra first, then during its antardasa, they will yield their results. Refined results are seen in the PD. Say your Rahu is in mitra, it will yield positive results concerning your repatriation. A planet in dignity is seen through 9 others besides the rasi. Rasi always indicate the strengths. If a palnet is weak in rasi and strong in one of these or vargas, then results are modified accordingly. My mercury is conjoined mars. and saturn conjoined rahu. i am virgo lagna. so would this mean i wil be essentially looking at mercury ( mars)-saturn(rahu)? Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Visti, Namaste Oh yeas it does thing things quite a bit. That flamboyant malefic Rahu’s prance is in rapt degrees with the ascendant. Now that makes a bigger difference to his nature. We don’t need to throw in Sun’s beautous perseverance on bhakti. Really, when did his trouble begin all of a sudden? That is not Saturn’s nature. He’s lame so he will finally give you his energy in full in the last round – that is the 3rd cycle – some say its the beginning of the end. 1st cycle is the 3rd aspect which generally indicates a good chance for reprisal the 2nd cycle is the 7th aspect of the full view mirror and the 3rd will either form the bed of thorns or the bed of roses. Not ALL suffer from kantak Sani when there is bhakti. One can also look at this Saturn return when they reach +/- aged 30 and 60 – yep, the big 60. Blue Sapphire, whether flawless or not, is unlikely to suit you. Its aspect on the lagna, containing Surya, Mangal and Budha should be avoided. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Youry, Namaskar A real Brahmana Yoga happens when Saturn is in Lagna whilst Moon is in Dusthana. I think the yoga is from Jataka Bharnam, but i'm not sure. Saturn is Brahma, and one who follows Saturn is a Brahmana, hence, this yoga shows the persons ability to follow a certain ideal (lagna) to ensure the attainment of their desires (moon shows desires and wants for this world). Similarly we judge the karaka of the house where Moon is placed, and see if its in the lagna. Example: Moon in eleventh house, whilst Jupiter (karaka of eleventh) is in lagna would form an Indra-na Yoga. These yogas are related to the topic of Karaka-Parivartana. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृष्ण॥ Dear Sunil, Namaskar This question was also raised on the sohamsa list. I will phrase the answer in the form of a question: If Parivartana yoga gives 100% effects of the planet it has conducted its exchange with, then what is left for other planets who are conjoining? Based on this Parivartana becomes the most important. Hence, in your case the choice of a pearl would strengthen the lagna, and Moon will not give effects of the conjoining planets... but why do you need to? Yours sincerely, -- Visti Larsen email: visti For consultations and articles visit: http://srigaruda.com sunilsingh20022001 wrote: Respected Visti Ji, Pranam According to the method given by you to select most auspicious gemstones- In case of parivartan between a malefic and benefic house one should suggest the gemstone of lord of malefic house. In case of yuti of house of a lord of benefic house and a malefic house one should suggest gemstone of the lord of malefic house(as in the case of P.V.Narsimharao).But I have a query-gemstone related to which planet should be choosen if three benefic planets conjoin in a house and one planet is also in parivartan . For leo lagna Venus,Mercury and Moon are in lagna.Saturn and Sun is in 12th house, there is exchange of lagna and 12th house and lord of 12th house moon is conjoined with Venus and Mercury. As per parivartan rule Pearl can be suggested and in yuti Venus is most benific but lords 3rd house .Rahu is in 4th,Jupiter in 9th and Mars and Ketu are in 10th. Guest guest
Dear bharat bhai, I amalready wearing a very vry high quality emerald andtwo Two tourmaline stones in pendant. I am willing to wear Ruby too. But some people say that in Bhav chalit Sun moves to the 12th house, and that is why it won't be advisable to wear Ruby. What do you think aout it...However, if you are very sure, I will definitely wear a very high class Ruby. Are there any negative effects of wearing Raby. If yeswhat they are. So that I can be on a look out for the adverse effect. Since itis the fourth lord, in lagna conjunct with Rahu, it becomes badly eclipsed. Now the problem is that for having reasonable amount of success, oneshould have at least (at least) either of the luminaries -- Sun or Moon powerful. In my case, Sun is in conjunct with Rahu, and Moon is in sixth house (though it is ful Moon). Further more, in Bhav Chalit,Ketu moves to sixth house from the seventh house to conjunt with Moon. So Moon is completely sapped out of its energy. On top of all this, there is Kemdruma Yoga. Bharat Bhai, Moon and Sun might have a very telling effect to cause all kinds of adversity in my life.... Against the aforesaid backdrop, if you feel that Sun can be strengthned with the help of Ruby, I will definitely wear one. I would also like to ask Visti ji and Sweeji their opinion in this regard. Guest guest
One more thing Bharat Bhai....In my opinion Venus is in parivartan with Mars. So whenever there is exchange between 12th and lagna lords, it forms 'Maha daridrya Yog (extreme poverty). However, because of God's grace, I have never faced extreme poverty. So I am not sure whether Moon and Venus are forming any vipreet raj yoga. Guest guest
Namaste Sri ManojThe Kshetra in the lagna is burnt. Taurus and Leo are dagdha Rasis for you. Grahas will not gain the opportunity to work properly there. Surya being the dagdha rasi Lord in a dagdha rasi brings good results. You are right about its affliction from Rahu. Therefore, wear the Ruby with Emerald. Also remember, Mars ill effects can be negated with a Ruby (use it with care). Dagdha Rasi lord Venus in dusthana will bring good results. The 6th lord in 12th is vipreeta raja yoga both by aspect and placement. Venus and Jupiter also help in the shubhkartari yoga on the lagna. Moon is the 3rd lord in 6th and hence, in vipreeta raja yoga. I do not know why you are watching only a daridra yoga in your chart. Kemadruma yoga is canceled by Kalpadruma yoga. Moon in 3,6,9,12 from Sun gives rise to dhana yoga. Moreover, there is a partial Chandra-adhi yoga in your chart. You see yogas should not been seen in such isolation. When a graha is the lord of the dagdha rasi and is in dagdha rasi, then, it is like finding oil in a desert. Surya, therefore, gives you enormous creativity and vision. A special quality in you is you can see opportunity where all other fail. The same thing is in Sri Visti (I hope he does not mind my discussing his chart). He will show exemplary courage, conviction, leadership qualities when all other fail. You give him a seemingly impossible work, and he shall finish it. This is the quality of Lord of Dagdha Rasi in Dagdha Rasi. You ask me about my surety - the only surety is that I am being true to my knowledge. Surety can only be given by the Lord and not by me. You can try keeping a Ruby in your pocket for couple of days and wear it only when satisfied. Thanks and RegardsBharatOn 1/13/07, Manoj Sharma <manojsharma662000 > wrote: Dear bharat bhai, I amalready wearing a very vry high quality emerald andtwo Two tourmaline stones in pendant. Guest guest
||हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Baharat, Please explain about dagdha rasi and how to find it. I havent seen it in the Jhora software. Many thanks Sharat - Bharat Hindu Astrology sohamsa Saturday, January 13, 2007 6:55 PM Re: (ratna) Re: Re: JAI SRIKRISHNA TO ALL Namaste Sri ManojThe Kshetra in the lagna is burnt. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Guys, Namaskar There are two methods of Dagdha/Sunya rasis out there. I will explain the one i was taught, and am familiar with. Tithigroup  -  Tithi      -  Signs affected Nanda      -  1,6,11   -  Aries, Scorpio Bhadra     -  2,7,12   -  Gemini, Cancer Jaya        -  3,8,13  -  Leo, Sag, Aqua Rikta        -  4,9,14  -  Libra, Capricorn Purna      -  5,10,15  -  Taurus, Virgo, Pisces. Steps: 1. Find the birth tithi, and the group it belongs to. 2. Identify the signs that the tithi negatively affects. 3. If the Sun is in these signs it is called Sunya (zero) tithi. If the Moon is there it is called Dagdha (combust/burning) tithi. These are very inauspicious and can highlight unfortunate experiences associated with these planets. Example: Moon in the eleventh house in Dagdha tithi can give very unfortunate experiences with friendships, with ego problems (combust) and the like emerging. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Manoj, Namaste Considering that Rahu is AK on your ascendant, I would not recommend Ruby. Please take off your tourmalines and leave your emerald. According to Garuda Purana, mixing a primary gemstone and a secondary one will nullify effects of the primary one. I would recommend you do a “re-installation” of the Emerald after electing a good muhurta and have it consecrated with mantras beforehand. Since Mercury is your AmK, consider offering prayers to your palana devata instead. Mercury should open up your heart chakra and make you more open and receptive to ideas. Wear the emerald round your neck to touch your heart chakra. I must correct a statement made by Visti. Paraphrasing that if in the rasi, the planet is strong and you wear a gemstone for that planet and if in a varga, that planet is weak, that gemstone will incur sufferings. If in that varga the planet is weak, the gemstone should be able to help keep that person afloat. Guest guest
हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£ Dear Visti, Namaskar Thanks again for this. Some queries,as below, as this is a new concept at least for me: ----- There are two methods of Dagdha/Sunya rasis out there. I will explain the one i was taught, and am familiar with.Tithigroup - Tithi - Signs affected ...Are these the signs adversely effected?Nanda - 1,6,11 - Aries, ScorpioBhadra - 2,7,12 - Gemini, CancerJaya - 3,8,13 - Leo, Sag, AquaRikta - 4,9,14 - Libra, CapricornPurna - 5,10,15 - Taurus, Virgo, Pisces.Steps:1. Find the birth tithi, and the group it belongs to.2. Identify the signs that the tithi negatively affects.3. If the Sun is in these signs it is called Sunya (zero) tithi. If the Moon is there it is called Dagdha (combust/burning) tithi...We are referring here to the placement of Sun/Moon in Rasi chart ?These are very inauspicious and can highlight unfortunate experiences associated with these planets. Example: Moon in the eleventh house in Dagdha tithi can give very unfortunate experiences with friendships, with ego problems (combust) and the like emerging. How about the effects of Sunya( zero) tithi? Is there any role played by the Lord of such rasi? Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Manoj, Namaste Take any planet that is either in a kendra or a kona, then look at the dispositor lord in the navamsa of that planet. Take that lord and see if it is in a kendra or a kona. If it is, then the planet is able to give lots of blessings. Take your lagna lord Venus. Its dispositor lord in navamsa is Mercury. Mercury in lagna is in a kendra/kona. Mercury is also a mahayogada and will be capable to curry new flavours. Jataka Parijata states that Mercury has the capacity to nullify the evils caused by Rahu. Though it is weak in Vaiseshikamsa, nonetheless it is considered strong enough to quell most transit troubles with 6 bindus. Besides, you are in MD of Mercury. Te other thing to note is that it is a kona lord conjoining a kendra lord – Sun and is capable of giving RY. I am still in two minds about the considerations of dadgha rasis – perhaps it is meant more for the selection of a muhurta as emphasised by Narada Muni in the muhurta section. So I wouldn’t worry too much about assessing it in a natal chart.
