Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृष्ण॥ Dear Swee, Freedom and John, Namaskar MahaBrhaspati does not refer to the 'generic' Brhaspati mantra that we all know and are initiated into, but to that form of Brhaspati which goes to war. Hence, the need for it during Jupiters transit into a martian sign - Scorpio. There is a whole sukta devoted to this form of Brhaspati made by Saunuka. Many of the slokas are in Jagati and Tristhup chandah of which the latter is especially used for war. I can't remember which mandala its in, but its the 13th sukta of the same and begins with the well known Ganesha Gayatri/Jagati: ganaanam tva.... Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Visti, Namaste Brihaspati mantra initiation? I think you’ve forgotten I never really had a jyotish Guru as it was so short-lived for me :| I searched the index of each book for ganaanam tva and couldn’t find it. When you’ve found the Mandala, do let me know, though I doubt I’d ever need to go to war ;-) Thanks for letting us know the difference. However, sloka 7 the cap. B should be small b for bR^ihaspati. The cap A for sloka 3 is correct. I must add that these verses were taken from the books printed by Parimal publications (in case anyone asks for the ref.). I must add that these verses were taken from the books printed by Parimal publications (in case anyone asks for the ref.).
