To RafalJi (Please answer) - Some General Queries

Hi Rafalji,

I have few Queries ...Can you please answer them.

1) In the Natural Zodiac, Mercury is the lord of 3rd and 6th houses (Gemini - House of Copulation and Virgo) , but Why is it still considered as a benefic planet and malefic only if it is associated with Malefics.?

[rafal] Planet is benefic when it produces auspicious emotions connected to areas related to lordships. Benefic means You are happy (Venus), satisfied (Jupiter), Buddha (laughing and curious) or caring and nurturing (Moon). Buddha is lord of Upachayas because it is responsible for growth, especially of skills and career (10H). However Buddha being of neuter and very wavering it can take atmosphere of associates, then this can transform into litigations, quarrels and indecisiveness.

2) Did Parashara explain about Arudha Lagna , Upapada Lagna and about Rashi Drushtis ?

Or is it Only Jaimini explained about it. In which Volume of Parashara does it come?

[rafal] Of course Parasara did. Volume one, chapters : Upapada (32), Arudhapada (31), Rasi Drsti (9). We dont divide Jyotish as Parasaric or Jaimini-Astrology, they were connected through lineage and family so we also take all Sastras into one umbrella of proper understanding. This understanding comes from Parampara.

3) To what extent is 2nd House from UL in a horo important when compared to 7th house while considering Happiness in marriage ?

[rafal] Its very important. Seventh bhava shows Your attitude, while 7H in D9 shows actual spouse. Upapada shows Your children and marriage (BPHS) while 2H from Upapada shows what maintain / break Your emotional knot.

Eg. If 7th lord is exalted or placed in 9th house , but the 2nd From UL contains Malefics without any benefic aspect, will the Marriage break ?

[rafal] Yes it can. Seventh lord in ninth means You will do extra (exalted) tapasya(9) to maintain it and through upayas You can gain victory in Your efforts (thats the good side). It also mean fortunate and wealthy (laxmi) spouse. However most important is 2L from Upapada (aspects are only excuses).

4) What are the Combinations for Break of Engagement (Before Marriage -Not after marriage ) i.e marriage getting settled and then break ?

[rafal] Generally things after marriage are seen in Navamsa. So if Venus is in 2H in D1 it can shows many breaks before marriage while 2H in D9 occupied by Venus can show timing of next partner during first marriage (serious relation).. But be careful as marriage is often only institution so it depends on tradition and attitude of two persons.

Rafalji, I would be very pleased if you answer my queries ..

Thanks in Advance,

Regards

Pramod.
