There is a position in Tai Chi called " The Beauteous Hand " - that is to yield if one cannot fight the forces beyond our control. Friends will possibly leave you, or you may be more prone to short temperedness which depletes you of energy (you naturally have a pitta condition as it is). Health may deteriorate further.... He said that you consider the strongest planet IN the house as the Ishta. If there is none, I think what Sanjay Rathji had said was that the planets having rasi dristi (not graha dristi) to 12th (from AK Navamsa) will lead you to your Ishta. However, Freedom said that the lord of the 12th from AK Navamsa still signifies your Ishta (even though those having rasi dristi may lead you to it). In general, to those who dont know, I have found the recordings at Freedom's, Visti's and PVR's sites to be very useful.. If none, then take the Lord of the Bhava There does seem to be an opinion that Lord of the Bhava be considered over the Rasi drishti, as you rightly point out. Perhaps one needs to examine the D20 chart to see which is stronger. I also meant to ask whether you had some resolution of the query regarding Gemstone use when planets are in conjunction or parivartan. I did not get any reposne to my query. But you may be right that its just an opinion - lets see what others say.. Also, you are correct - I did not get clear consensus about which gemstone to use when planets are in conjunction or parivartan. As I understand from the replies I got from Bharatji and Swee-ji, there is no clear scriptural basis for exchanging gemstones due to the fact that planets are in conjunction or parivartan. However, they each had their well reasoned opinions which I am not qualified to comment upon. Your question was even more complicated, if I recall correctly, i.e. you had three planets in the fray, right? It looks like it boils down to at least some amount of intelligent and earnest experimentation to find out whats best.. I will definitely let the group know which one if any worked for me, and hope you will too, so that there is more clarity eventually.. Let me share my experience, perhaps more learned members may have an opinion. Conjunctions of 2 or more planets do give results of each other in their AD. I have 3( Ve-Me-Su) in 5H with Ve( Lagnesh) in Parivartan with Rahu in Lagan( Libra). Dictum in Parivartan is to strenghen the more auspicious house or Lagan or Lagnesh, depending upon the Bhavas/Planets involved. In this case focus should be on Lagnesh as Rahu is a natural malefic. Rahu will work like Venus and vice versa. Hence need to strenghen Ve. Now Ve is in Conjunction with Su and Me. Su and Ve will exchange effects in their respective AD. Sun is also Badhakesh. I was running Sun AD between 2002-2004, hence it should be giving Ve results which is like Rahu, also a karak of foreign lands. I wore a diamond in Sept 2003 and in January 2004, out of the blue. I got a good offer to move abroad, effect of badhak Sun. Now , I feel that the Ve strengthening by Diamond gave the results of badhakesh Sun. Further now I know that Ve was also 'cursed' and I had not carried out any 'upayas', hence I believe that the effect was brought about by Sun. It is also possible that the entire change was due to Sun and Rahu and Diamond did nothing for Ve. I now feel I should try using Emerald for Me, as Me AD will be approaching in a years time, Me is also 9H and 12H lord and exalted in 10H in D10. Perhaps using Mantras is a more 'satvic' way for dealing with such issues. If a planet is placed in this house, it canshow us the Ishta Devata and so we can pray tothe deity represented by it. In the same way, we can consider aspects onthis house when there are no planets placed there. As you know only rasi drishti is used here. The RD and or lord of the house will lead us to the Ishta devta, one should take the stronger influence or a combination if appropriate. And as long as you are sticking to names and forms of God you are worshiping the Grahas as a means to reach God. In other words: "you need a piece of wood to make fire"... how will you get fire without wood? So, for us limited mortals we worship images of the grahas in their higher forms as devatas to reach God, as that is easier for us. So then the question is: Why not graha dristi? Graha dristi is based on desire, and not based on actual sight. Rasi dristi shows what you can physically see, or what your mind can perceive. Better to worship an aspect of God that you can see and perceive, rather than one that you cannot. Since Graha dristi is based on desire, the desire to worship a particular form of God may arise during the dasa of that graha, but this is temporary and will disappear after some time... when the dasa is over. Hence, we do not use graha dristi to advise worship.
