Guest guest
Dear All, I had posted a query last month on Sri Jagannath group about Marriage Muhurta but did not get some clarifications, so I am reposting it again on this group. The basic query was about finding a marriage muhurta when the only option is of selecting the appropriate lagna in a single day (in this case December 14, 2006, Delhi). Hopefully will get a better response this time. Thank you. --- Hello Everyone, I have some more doubts about the wedding time that need clarifications: 1)Narasimha Rao in his book states that the wedding time for Hindus is when the husband " ties the knot " . Since he was referring to the Mangalsutra as a symbol of marriage in the previous sentence, I am assuming that it means " tieing the mangalsutra " . Srivastavji in his e-mail mentioned that taking the seven steps, " saptpadi " would indicate marriage. So what is the time of marriage? 2)K.K.Joshi in his book mentions that for love marriage, no muhurta is necessary and that the only consideration that is important is " Tripadi chakra shuddhi " i.e. for certain nakshatras from the sun are considered auspicious for marriage? Is this true? If yes, then is the reference to Nakshtra's means the nakshtra of moon or nakshtra of lagna at the time of marriage? 3)In a lot of countries, one has to register with the government, even if they have been married in a religious marriage. This registration can happen before or after the religious marriage. In such cases do you consider the marriage time for both or only for the first marriage ,whether it is civil or religious? I would greatly appreciate any insight into these questions. Thanks. Chandraprakash , " Chandra Prakash " <vedicstudent wrote: > > Dear Srivastvaji, > > Thank you for your learned comments. He further states, in reference to planets in the 7th house of wedding muhurta, that " Planetary strength is more important than strictly following these thumbrules " . As far as lagna of wedding > muhurta, he states " Benefic owned planet " .
