Bhai beej a Festival indicative of pure Loving bond between Brother & Sister !

Dear Members,

 

Though this is a non-Astrological post, i thought of putting it on

the day of Bhai-Beej..

 

I have complained (light heartedly but firmly) to some of best

friends hailing from Southern India about lacking of a single

festival which exclusively meant for a Brother & a Sister. Like we

have two festival called " Raksha Bandhan " & " Bhai Beej " .

 

I'll be very happy if there is one which i am not aware of. No

offence meant to any one.

 

the issue may be unpalatable for most but is very surprsing for me.

Dear Utpalji,

 

There is at least one festival where the sisters pray for the

welfare of the brothers. I know of this as it is celebrated at

home. This is called 'Naaga Panchami'.
