How are these mantras to be used?

!Om Gurveh Namah! Dear Friends and Gurujans, Namaskar! This a very enlightened discussion about mantras. Can you point me to references/materials for mantra(s) application in Jyotish? I am particularly interested in how the number of letters in a mantra relate to houses and how the choice of mantra is made. Any help or pointers are appreciated.
