Thank you so much for your analysis and advice. I am much relieved to read your analysis. On the basis of your analysis and the relevant MP3 from your webpage/ SJC webpages, I have the following to submit for your kind attention.

1. (Query with respect to my Son’s horoscope Details of Son’s Horoscope)

Time of Birth: - 1207 hrs afternoon

Place of birth: - 77-13 E, 28-40 N

Date of birth:-12 January 1999

I refer to your MP3 on Neech Bhanga as well as SJC Guru Sarajit Poddar’s blog Varahamihira of Friday, June 25, 2004 Neechabhanga Rajayoga (Pt. Sanjay Rath) wherein he gives the example of Neechbhanga of Saturn at Para 1. I quote “Another example: If Saturn is debilitaed in Aries, then if Venus, the lord of Libra its sign of exaltation is in a kendra to the Lagna or Moon, Saturn gets neech bhanga or cancellation of debility.” Does it mean that only Venus (in this chart) is capable of causing Neechbhanga of only 25% or is it 50% because it is in Kendra from both Lagna and the Moon? Should I strengthen Venus by gemstones to cause a stronger Neechbhanga of Saturn?

2. As advised, I have downloaded the Maha Mritunjaya Mantra and amin the process of teaching my son to recite it. However I am not aware of the “beejas Haum Joom Sah”. Please educate me on this aspect also.

3. I am aware that mantras are the best form of countering any malady. Nevertheless would strengthening Venus by means of gemstones help in countering the ill effects of Neech Saturn. Will strengthening Venus cause expenditure to increase as it placed 12th to the Arudha Lagna?

4. Would Neech Saturn in Lagna cause fear from evil spirits/ attraction to any addictions like alcohol/drugs etc?

5. I refer to your MP wherin you said that that if Saturn is Badhakesh and in the Lagna then the native will prosper only when he moves abroad. But it is not substantiated by his D4 chart where there is no connection between his 9th,12th houses/their lords and Rahu. Please throw some light on this.

6. Can the combination of a strong Dhimantah yoga from Lagna and as well as the Arudha Lagna and Badhakesh Saturn in Lagna indicate studies abroad? …and thus indicate Bhagyodaya for my son during Sani Mahadasa despite his health problems? If so, then when should he try to go abroad?

7. It is said that the presence of Malefics in the third house from arudha lagna is detrimental to younger siblings. In this chart would the presence of Neech Sani in the third house from Arudha Lagna be detrimental to his younger brother?

Dasa Results in Neech Bhanga Saturn

Respected Shri Visti Larsen jee,

Namaskar.

I am a student of astrology and have been reading for some time now. I would be happy if you could take some time and clarify two queries that I have regards my son’s horoscope and mine.

Query 1

Details of Son’s Horoscope:-

Time of Birth: - 1207 hrs afternoon

Place of birth: - 77-13 E, 28-40 N

Date of birth:-12 January 1999

I use Jagannath Hora software v 7.02 and find that he has Neech Sani in his Lagna.

However considering the Rules of Cancellation of Debility i.e. in this particular horoscope,

(a) Lord of the sign (Venus) where Saturn is exalted (i.e. Libra) is in a Kendra from the Lagna as well as from the Moon.

(b) The lord of the debilitation sign (i.e. Mars) aspects the debilitated planet. (i.e. Saturn).

[Visti] The aspect of planets does not cause neecha bhanga.

[Visti] This does not cause neecha bhanga. For Saturn only the Sun, Venus and Mars can cause neecha bhanga.

I understand that the cancellation of debility of Saturn in the Lagna can give the individual strong power of leadership and strength of will. (Reference: Astrology of the Seers by David Frawley). Does Saturn have cancellation of debility in this case? When will it give results of Neech Bhanga and when do I consider it as Neech during Dasa analysis?

[Visti] Neecha bhanga by one planet will not make Saturn very strong, and Saturn itself will not give good results during its dasa, instead Venus dasa/antara will give some relief from the neecha placement as venus himself causes the neecha bhanga. Since Saturn is badhakesh it shows that when he goes abroad, or travels away from his home. I believe that he will be a very determined student due to the dhimantah yoga, and will try very hard to get an opportunity to go abroad. This will put him in some tough competition which will have a negative impact on his health due to alot of jealousy around him. Please teach him to recite the mrityunjaya mantra early in life. Begin with teaching him the beejas Haum Joom Sah.

The Saturn Mahadasa will begin on 05 November 2006 and will be on during his growing up period, a period which in India will be spent by the individual studying and giving direction to his life so that he can settle down effectively in life and be capable enough to be on his own.

I would like you to comment on the behaviour of Saturn during his Mahadasa particularly considering the fact that it is Vargothamma (occupying Mesha in both Rasi and Navamsa)and it occupies the Lagna ,aspects the Third house ( I have another son born in 2005), Seventh House and Tenth house.

[Visti] Vargottama indicates that the focus is on the lagna, and that he will either have fame or problems with health. Saturn is weak, so we must infer that the health problems are very prominent.

My Details of Birth are;-

Place of birth: - 75-46 E, 31-13 N

Date of birth:-06 January 1968

My Venus Mahadasa will begin on 27 June 2008. Venus which is a Yogakaraka being lord of Fifth and Tenth Houses occupies the Eleventh house (Scorpio). Venus as Lord of the Kendra and a benefic is not considered good. Should I strengthen Venus by wearing a Diamond when the Mahadasa starts? What will be the behaviour of Venus in its Mahadasa? I remember reading a mail in the forum that planets occupying the Eleventh house will give good results only if they are weak. How far is this point correct?

Please educate and enlighten me.

[Visti] The arudha lagna is very important to analyze for succes. Venus is a rajayoga karaka as you said, and whilst its placement in the eleventh house is auspicious, the real benefit is that its placed in the seventh house from Arudha lagna.

But see carefully, there is an exchange between the signs of Ketu and Venus, hence this parivartana is going to get activated and success is promissed for the parivartana between tenth and eleventh house. Yes it looks to be a very auspicious dasa, but i don't believe the two first antara dasas will be able to promiss you the desired success. Yes a Diamond would suit you well as Venus is in Scorpio.
