Guest guest
Supriti ji, your message about sain & Thakur compelled me to write few lines. in my opinion, our intellect is extremely limited to fully understand the ways & teachings of the both " shore less ocean " . However our habitual intellect often gets in to the exercise of comparing and in this case comparing the Unfathomable. Although, i haven't studies Sain charitra or his teachings, which may not be an obstacle as the lives of such 'avatras' are sufficient to satisfy our inquiring minds. Sain Baba, throughout his physical existence, demonstrated extraordinary happenings (chamatkars) to help the people in their distress only to generate great faith in their hearts and drew them to him. at the same time he spread his message of Harmony among all the religions. summing up, he transformed life of people and established them on the road of spirituality by first shouldering their trouble & tears and simultaneously educating them about the Truthful, satwik living. He still goes on in his mission without physical body. have you looked at Sain Baba's photograph intensely? what compassion his face emittes !!as if just by looking at his picture, all your worries, burdens and restlessness evaporates. My Guru Thakur Ramakrishna Paramhamsa is the other (essentially the same light) who generated eternal " whirlpool of spirituality " . Ramakrishna hardly demonstrated sidhhi to general people. his way was to suck-out worldly desires from the mind of people. even to his own beloved " Naren " he apperently didn't intervene even when Naren was in horrible domestic troubles. If you go little deep, Thakur's message to the people in general can be found in the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. (you see..it seems that " Viveka " is one of the Most valuable Keys in life). Thakur chose a dozen of his inner circle disciples to spread the Light to the people across the globe. Summing up, though their ways seems to be different on the surface, both the Avatar walked on this earth for One Common mission of uplifting people from their utterly horrible worldliness and make them understand the importance & ways of righteous living. and also for hastening the progress of many spiritual aspirants (Mumukhu) by providing them right guidance (remember? Different preparation of same type of Fishes to suit the digestion power of different people) I'll provide the few of the quotes of Thakur which have influenced me beyond expressions " Vultures soar very high in the sky but their eyes are rivetted on the ground, over dead & rotten bodies of animals. same way a 'pundit' is mere straw if his mind dwells in the desires of worldly attainments and sense pleasures " " Lion eats meats & blood but he enjoys sex once in a year whereas Sparraow eats grains but enjoys sex every day " " Mere reading Shastras, books & performing religious rites is not sufficeint. one has to go frequently to secluded place and cry to god for his mercy " " God alone is real, everything else is illusion " " Direct Realisation of Truth alone is the sum-total of all the religions & paths. Symbols,Rituals are but secondary details " - Swami Vivekananda " My mother id there to take care. what worries then i have. i eat, drink & make merry " " I am the servent you are the master..i am a child and you are my mother..i am only a machine, you are the operator. I do as you makest me to do. it is not Hamba..hamba, it is Thou..thou " the message has gone too long. thank you utpal sohamsa , " supriti108 " <supriti108 wrote: > > |OM GURAVE NAMAH| > Pranaam Guruji and List Members, > > I had this urge to compare the teachings of two great masters who > believed that all paths lead to ONE GOD. > > Please correct my faulty understanding. > > Regards > Supriti > - - > Sai Baba's Hindu followers consider him to be an avatar (incarnation) > of Shiva and Dattatreya. > His eleven famous sayings are: > No harm shall befall him who sets his foot on the soil of Shirdi. > He who cometh to My Samadhi, his sorrow and suffering shall cease. > Though I be no more in flesh and blood, I shall ever protect My > devotees. > Trust in Me and your prayer shall be answered. > Know that My Spirit is immortal.
