Om Gurave Namah

Namaste friends,

Today, in the September issue of " Rishi Peetham " , I read an article

about the significance of Parivartana ekadashi. In that article it

was mentioned that on Ashadha Shukla ekadashi (Shayana ekadasi)a

particular alignment of stars can be observed in the sky. Infact,

all the Ekadashis are supposed to have derived their names based on

these 8 nakshatras.

" The nakshatras from Swati to Shravana nakshatras are called Vishnu

Nakshatras and when these asterisma are viewed they reflect the form

of Vishnu. Our ancient sages recognised this form of Vishnu

(nakshatraaNi roopam). On sayana ekadashi day, the 8 stars from

Swati to shravanam are supposed to align in the north/north-eastern

part of the sky, in such a way as to depict the form of Vishnu in

yoga nidra. On Parivartana Ekadashi these constellations start

moving from west to east, which they reach in Kartika maasam. "

Is it possible to (through Internet) view/verify the above?

Could the 8 stars correspond to the ashtakshari mantra...with " Om "

mapped to Shravana and " ya " corresponding to Swati?

Regards,

Lakshmi
